Your Impact As an Accountant, you will be a critical contributor to Cisco's financial and accounting functions, gaining comprehensive experience across general ledger, treasury, and monthly billing. You will directly impact financial accuracy and operational efficiency by leading GL and Treasury accounting, completing monthly billing and close activities, analyzing trends, and reconciling accounts. This role empowers you to identify inconsistencies, propose solutions, and ensure strict adherence to SOX policies, making a tangible difference in our financial processes. Responsibilities Tax Compliance between SAT reports and GL analysis. Actively participate in the monthly close process, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations Record intercompany transactions, settlements and maintain intercompany reconciliations. Prepare, review and analyze monthly and quarterly financial statement transactions and variances Coordinate with various departments, including Treasury, AR, FP&A, Tax, and Accounts Payable teams for proper recording of transactions within the general ledger Assist in maintenance and adherence to internal controls under SOX and ensuring compliance with US GAAP Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with Local GAAP and compliance to internal policies Participate in the implementation of process improvements in all accounting related areas Assist in the preparation of schedules for our external auditors during annual audits Ad hoc reporting and special projects, as requested Perform back up coverage in other accounting areas Adapt to new tasks and responsibilities as the business changes Prepare Local Financial Statements. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting or equivalent combination of skills and experience 3+ years of related experience, preferably in accounting Experience with Oracle a plus; ability to quickly learn new systems Experience in local GAAP / IFRS. Experience in dual ledger architecture. Preferred Qualifications Positive, team-player attitude. Strong communication and presentation skills, adaptable to all levels. AI Usage.
