THE ROLE: Product engineering team is responsible for enabling the availability of microprocessors to our customers balancing between cost, quality and time-to-market. As a Product Development Engineer, you will be expected to understand test patterns and test methodologies using available DFTs to drive quality and yield improvements. You will collaborate with various Product Development Groups to bring-up and ramp new products which include test program infrastructure development, test hardware design, silicon bring-up, debug, high volume data analysis, and characterization. Finally, you will be required to correlate and release high quality test programs for production testing while meeting key performance indicators for quality, yield, and test time. THE PERSON: We are looking for someone with the will to overcome challenging problems and strong appetite for technical knowledge. A results-oriented engineer with good stakeholder management skills which are crucial when interfacing with various teams across AMD. An AI adopter, looking to solve problems while harnessing the prowess of AI tools and agents. A proactive, outstanding teammate who focuses on teamwork, team building, and growing team success. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Own silicon characterization plan across process, voltage, and temperature Drive Yield step-up is weekly yield meetings and presenting to wider PEO audience. Develop agentic AI to help speed up yield and test data analytics. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Familiar with concepts surrounding JTAG, ATPG, BIST, or HSIO Proficient in software programming and scripting languages (C, C++, Java, Ruby, Perl, Python) Knowledgeable in version control tools (Git, SVN, CVS) Knowledgeable in statistical analysis Proficient in Windows, Unix, and Linux operating systems and general AI tools (Claude/co-pilot/ChatGPT etc) ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: BS/MS Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or comparable disciplines LOCATION: Penang, Malaysia #LI-CY #LI-Hybrid #PEO Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance .
