Job Description SummaryThe Verification Lead is responsible for planning, coordinating, and driving verification activities for Diagnostic Ultrasound products and subsystems. This role provides technical leadership across verification planning, requirements traceability, risk-based testing, integration readiness, and verification execution to ensure product quality, compliance, and successful program delivery. The Verification Lead works closely with Systems, Software, Program, Quality, and Product Engineering teams to ensure robust verification coverage while driving continuous improvement through automation, standardization, and data-driven verification practices. Job Description Roles and ResponsibilitiesVerification Planning & ExecutionOwn verification planning activities, including scope definition, resource planning, schedule alignment, and verification strategy development. Lead feature, subsystem, and system-level verification activities throughout the product development lifecycle. Ensure verification plans appropriately address product requirements, risk controls, and quality objectives. Drive timely execution of verification cycles and support release readiness activities. Requirements & TraceabilityReview requirements for completeness, clarity, and testability. Develop and maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, verification results, and defects. Ensure adequate verification coverage and closure of verification deliverables. Support risk assessments and mitigation activities, including FMEA and design reviews. Technical LeadershipServe as the primary verification focal point for assigned programs and initiatives. Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Program Leadership, and Quality teams to address technical risks and verification challenges. Drive root cause investigations and resolution of complex verification issues. Influence product and process improvements by identifying verification gaps, inefficiencies, and quality risks. Continuous Improvement & AutomationDrive improvements in verification effectiveness, efficiency, and scalability through automation, standardization, and process optimization. Promote best practices in test design, verification execution, documentation, and defect management. Support adoption of data-driven metrics and AI-enabled productivity tools to improve verification performance. Define and monitor verification performance indicators such as cycle time, automation coverage, defect trends, and verification efficiency. Team Leadership & CollaborationMentor and coach verification engineers on verification methodologies, systems thinking, problem solving, and technical best practices. Facilitate alignment across global teams and stakeholders. Coordinate verification activities across multiple programs and engineering functions. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and operational excellence. Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline. Significant experience in verification, validation, systems engineering, testing, or product development. Experience developing verification plans, strategies, protocols, and reports. Experience leading cross-functional technical activities in a product development environment. Strong understanding of requirements management, traceability, defect management, and root cause analysis. Demonstrated leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to drive execution and influence outcomes across globally distributed teams. Preferred QualificationsExperience in medical device or regulated product development. Experience supporting design controls, risk management, and product verification processes. Experience with test automation, scripting, and verification productivity tools. Experience with Agile and/or SAFe development methodologies. Experience with systems integration and multi-disciplinary product development. Knowledge of data analytics and AI-enabled engineering tools. Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, or speed-to-market.
