Job description

You will maintain and improve production equipment and systems at GSK Pakistan. You will work closely with production, quality, stores and contractors to keep machines running safely and reliably. Responsibilities: Execute preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance activities for equipment, including compression, coating, blistering, filling and packaging machines. Work with Production and Engineering teams to prepare, review and update maintenance documentation, SOPs, preventive maintenance procedures, work instructions and other engineering documents. Coordinate the approval process for maintenance-related documentation and ensure compliance with site quality systems. Support documentation required during equipment qualification, validation, commissioning and change control activities, where applicable. Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, Validation and Engineering to support maintenance activities and project execution. Execute and close preventive and corrective maintenance activities through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Troubleshoot mechanical equipment failures and support root cause investigations and CAPA implementation. Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure all documentation is completed in accordance with GMP requirements. Support trials, engineering projects, equipment installation and commissioning activities as required. Follow GSK training requirements as well as Safety, Quality and Compliance programs. Provide high quality work consistent with pharmaceutical standards while ensuring maximum equipment reliability and uptime. Education, Experience and Skills DAE or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics Engineering, or an equivalent technical qualification. Minimum 4–8 years of relevant maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Practical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs and industrial automation systems, with the ability to troubleshoot or willingness to develop these skills. Experience using, or willingness to learn, a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Knowledge of preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance practices. Familiarity with pharmaceutical GMP requirements, equipment documentation and engineering compliance is preferred. Experience supporting equipment commissioning, qualification, validation and change control activities is an advantage. Strong commitment to safety, including compliance with Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) and Permit-to-Work procedures. Good analytical, troubleshooting, communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with Production, Quality, Engineering and Stores.
