Job Function: Supply Chain Planning Job Sub Function: Demand Planning Job Category: People Leader All Job Posting Locations: Singapore, Singapore Job Description: The Vision Care APAC Supply Chain Leader is a critical leadership position, responsible for the alignment of the APAC Vision Care strategy with the global Vision Care Supply Chain strategy. The main responsibility of the Supply Chain Leader is to optimize supply chain performance, consistently meet customer expectations and manage regional IBP process (S&OP and portfolio management). This individual is the primary Supply Chain liaison with the regional VC commercial leadership to ensure achievement of aligned business goals and objectives. With expertise in End-to-End Supply Chain process improvement, this individual will proactively coordinate cross-functional resources required for three major areas: Customer Focus: Global Reach and Local Focus - work with a Global mindset to improve Supply Chain agility while increasing our ability to respond to our customer needs in local markets. Reduce complexity and drive reliable supply of quality products that meet / exceed customer expectations. Strategic Franchise Management: Work with commercial partners / teams and the global Product Management (PM) organization to support strategic business plans by aligning supply chain & franchise strategies and tactics to drive profitable growth. Responsibilities: Customer Focus Develop regional IBP roadmap supporting profitable growth targets for the region and local markets. Lead regional SC Planning Team by driving demand planning excellence and champion regional S&OP process – drive balancing demand vs. supply decisions + eventual product allocations and coordinate resolution of major supply chain issues for respective franchise. Establish the Regional Portfolio Management process ensuring NPI and Regional Product Innovation support profitable growth targets and are connected to global processes as appropriate. Partner with Commercial and Product Management for continuous improvement of New Product Implementation (NPI) capability ensuring success of NPI execution and connection to Global strategy. Drive clear project/program governance and implementation of relevant frameworks for complex regional initiatives that are cross-franchise and/or cross-clusters. Drive cross-functional collaboration to understand customer needs and translate external customer requirements into supply chain strategies in partnership with Regional VSL and Regional Deliver leads. Ensure End-to-End supply chain processes are supporting customer and business needs. When / where not, work with functional leads to drive improvements. Monitor Supply Chain Performance Goals (i.e., perfect order, quality, LIFR, MAPE/Bias, inventory), ensures initiation of corrective action and improvement projects as required. Strategic Franchise Management Represent the customer and serve as interface between the Global Franchise and the Regional Supply Chain Team, including a strong connection to the local / regional organizations. Work with global product management directors (PM) and Regional Value Stream Leader on efficient product life-cycle management supporting growth and profitability targets. Collaborate with PM on NPD and Lifecycle Management (LCM) activities and shared accountability for the business unit impact on gross profit items such as inventory, CIP attainment. Support / own talent development of supply chain functions to build capabilities in the region and create a strong pipeline of leaders. Critical Success Factors Demonstrated depth of business unit product knowledge and insights of business unit customers. Ability to lead with limited authority and provide direction and drive positive change. Ability to drive innovation, prioritize and collaborate in a heavily matrixed environment. Effective interdependent and proactive partnering with key stakeholders of business unit and VC Supply Chain Organization on a regional and global basis. Proven talent development champion - plays a critical role in building organizational capability in J&J (e.g.: EtE, Lean, S&OP, FPX, NPI and product life cycle management) with a particular focus on deepening professionalism in project/program management across APAC. Qualifications Minimum 10 years’ experience in a complex Supply Chain environment and a proven leadership track record in at least 2 of the following functional areas within a global and international organization: manufacturing, planning, distribution, quality. Proven success in: Creating Customer Centric Supply Chain strategies. Gaining commercial and supply chain support and alignment to deliver the strategy. Leading and developing high performing cross functional and matrix teams. Delivering ‘best in class’ business results through innovative customer focused solutions. Driving design to value in new products with measurable results: financial, quality and cycle time. Creating operational improvement using process excellence tools and leadership. Understanding the linkages in supply chain from demand planning through delivery to customer. Building interdependent partnerships to optimize value proposition with limited authority. Experience in healthcare / regulatory dependent sector is desirable. Undergraduate degree in engineering, business or supply chain disciplines required. Graduate degree/studies in science, business, engineering, finance or organizational management or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
