Project Role : Technology Support Engineer Project Role Description : Resolve incidents and problems across multiple business system components and ensure operational stability. Create and implement Requests for Change (RFC) and update knowledge base articles to support effective troubleshooting. Collaborate with vendors and help service management teams with issue analysis and resolution. Must have skills : Automation Integration Good to have skills : NA Minimum 5 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Job Summary We are looking for a highly skilled Network Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain network automation solutions that improve operational efficiency, standardization, and service delivery. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Nautobot as the source of truth for network infrastructure and strong integration experience with ServiceNow to automate provisioning, configuration management, compliance, and operational workflows. The candidate should possess a solid networking background combined with software development and automation expertise to support large-scale enterprise network environments across on-premises and cloud infrastructures. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain network automation solutions using Nautobot. Develop automated workflows for network provisioning, configuration management, compliance validation, and lifecycle management. Integrate Nautobot with ServiceNow for automated request fulfillment, CMDB synchronization, change management, and incident workflows. Automate network device configuration across multi-vendor environments using APIs and automation frameworks. Develop reusable automation playbooks, scripts, and workflows to reduce manual effort and improve operational consistency. Build and maintain network inventory, IP Address Management (IPAM), and configuration data within Nautobot. Develop automation solutions for firewall, routing, switching, wireless, load balancers, and DDI platforms. Integrate automation platforms with Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines. Implement configuration compliance, drift detection, and automated remediation. Collaborate with Network Engineering, Security, Cloud, and Service Management teams to deliver automation initiatives. Support automation during network implementation, upgrades, migrations, and operational changes. Prepare technical documentation, workflow diagrams, runbooks, and operational procedures. Participate in code reviews and follow software development best practices. Troubleshoot automation failures, API integrations, and workflow issues. Required Technical Skills Network Automation Nautobot, Network Source of Truth (SoT), Network Inventory Management, Configuration Automation, Workflow Automation, Configuration Compliance, Configuration Backup and Validation ServiceNow Integration Hands-on experience with: ServiceNow REST APIs, CMDB Integration, Change Management Automation, Incident Automation, Service Catalog Integration, Request Fulfillment, Workflow Automation, ServiceNow Webhooks, Event Management Integration Programming & Automation Strong experience in: Python, REST APIs, JSON, YAML, Jinja2 Templates,Git, GitHub / GitLab,Linux, Bash Shell Scripting Preferred: Django, FastAPI, Flask Automation Tools Experience with: Ansible, Nautobot Jobs, Nautobot Plugins, Nornir, Netmiko, NAPALM, Paramiko, pyATS Network Technologies Strong understanding of: TCP/IP, Routing & Switching, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VRFs, MPLS fundamentals, VPN Technologies, NAT, IPv4 / IPv6, QoS, High Availability Key Responsibilities with Nautobot Build and maintain the enterprise network inventory. Manage IP Address Management (IPAM) and prefixes. Develop and maintain Nautobot Jobs and custom plugins. Automate configuration deployment using Nautobot APIs. Perform configuration validation and compliance reporting. Synchronize network inventory with external systems. Manage device lifecycle automation. Generate dynamic device configurations using templates. Key Responsibilities with ServiceNow Integrate Nautobot with ServiceNow CMDB. Automate device onboarding and decommissioning workflows. Trigger network automation from Service Catalog requests. Update ServiceNow tickets automatically after successful automation tasks. Synchronize configuration and asset information between platforms. Support Change Management automation with approvals and implementation status updates. Preferred Experience Candidates should have experience in: Enterprise network automation projects. Large-scale network transformation initiatives. Multi-vendor network environments. API-based infrastructure automation. CI/CD implementation for network automation. Source of Truth architecture. Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP). Configuration compliance and governance. Infrastructure modernization projects. Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Experience mentoring junior engineers and reviewing automation code. Strong documentation and presentation skills. Customer-focused mindset with attention to quality and operational excellence. Preferred Certifications Cisco DevNet Associate or Professional Nautobot Certified Professional (if available) Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) HashiCorp Terraform Associate AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Developer ITIL Foundation Python programming certification (preferred) Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field. 5–10 years of networking experience. Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Python-based network automation. Experience building production-grade automation solutions using Nautobot and ServiceNow.
