Avery Dennison is hiring a Machine Operator - Coating to join our production team in Fairport Harbor, OH. In this hands-on role, you will take ownership of setting up, operating, and troubleshooting our coating machinery. You will work across key stations including unwind, die, main console/winder, and quality lab to keep production running smoothly and safely. Shift & Pay Shift: C12 Shift, 6:55PM - 7AM, 2-2-3 rotation Pay Rate: $25.09/hr plus $2/hr shift differential What You Will Do Operate & Changeover: Lead machine setups, changeovers, and cycle adjustments for optimal productivity. Ensure Quality: Perform routine product checks using measuring tools to ensure specs meet accurate tolerances. Monitor & Troubleshoot: Keep a close eye on gauges, flow ratios, temperatures, and pressures to identify root causes of equipment issues. Collaborate & Record: Maintain logs, support team goals, and cross-train on multiple coating assets. Prioritize Safety: Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and champion a safety-first mindset for yourself and your team. Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED OR 3+ years of relevant manufacturing experience. Mechanical Aptitude: Strong troubleshooting skills and curiosity for how equipment works. Tech Skills: Basic computer proficiency to track production flow and logs. Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime as needed.
