The candidate should have foundational expertise in React and Node.js, with hands-on experience building intuitive interfaces and self-service portals that integrate with backend services. Proficiency in React is required, as all web applications are built using the React framework. The role involves translating business and user requirements into clean, functional frontend solutions, with a basic understanding of frontend security and performance best practices. The candidate should be comfortable working in an Agile environment, participating in sprint cycles, code reviews, and collaborating cross-functionally with backend, design, and product teams to deliver seamless user experiences. Key Responsibilities · Implement responsive, accessible web experiences using ReactJS (hooks, context, state management), TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS/SCSS. · Build reusable UI components, client‑side routing, and data‑driven views that integrate with REST APIs and microservices. · Develop and maintain design‑system–aligned components and ensure consistency across applications. · Leverage Figma artifacts to convert specs into pixel‑accurate implementations, raising clarifying questions to senior developers or designers when specs are unclear. · Partner with UX Center of Excellence team, Product Managers and UX designers to implement interactive prototypes (Figma) accurately, applying usability, accessibility (WCAG), and performance best practices as guided by senior team members. · Participate in design reviews, helping verify UI solutions meet product acceptance criteria in regulated contexts. · Write unit/integration tests (e.g., React Testing Library) and support end‑to‑end test automation while upholding code quality. · Optimize performance and reliability (error boundaries, retry strategies, telemetry). · Follow BMS SDLC, documentation, and validation practices (traceability, reviews, change control) expected in GxP environment. · Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, demos, and retrospectives while delivering story‑level commitments reliably. Qualifications & Experience · 2 to 4 years of professional experience building production UIs. · ReactJS with TypeScript/JavaScript (hooks, context, component composition, state management). · Figma proficiency for reading specs, interpreting design tokens, and collaborating on design systems. · Strong fundamentals in HTML5/CSS, responsive layout, accessibility (WCAG), & cross‑browser compatibility. · Testing with Jest/React Testing Library (or similar), bundling/build tooling (Webpack/Vite), and package management (npm/yarn). · Basic exposure to Angular or NodeJS for front‑end build tooling, server‑side rendering, or lightweight back‑end integration tasks. · Basic familiarity with consuming APIs built in Java/Spring Boot and request/response contracts. · Practical use of AI‑assisted development tools (code copilots) to bootstrap components, tests, refactors, and documentation, reviewing outputs with senior team members for security, accessibility, and performance. · Experience in AI prompting for UI tasks (e.g., generating unit tests, extracting acceptance criteria) under senior developer guidance. · Experience in Agile methodologies and project management tools, such as JIRA. · Experience in life‑sciences or other regulated environments (GxP). · Should have user‑centric mindset with strong attention to detail and quality. · Demonstrate clear, proactive communication, be collaborative and open to feedback. · Possess “growth mindset”, being eager to learn new skills. · Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related technical discipline. · Certifications in AWS, Agile/Scrum, or UI/UX are a plus.
