Position Summary This position is an excellent opportunity for an initiative-taking individual to utilize their knowledge and experience in Analytical Chemistry to develop analytical methods and perform analysis/studies for the qualitative and quantitative assessment of agricultural pipeline products, their intermediates, metabolites and impurities and also in research and process development. Based in the IIC Hyderabad. The successful candidate will be able to work in analytical team but also collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team of scientists, including analytical chemists, process chemists and process engineers. Location: IND - IIC Hyderabad The Role Strong knowledge of traditional and modern analytical techniques including chromatography (HPLC, UHPLC, GC) and mass spectrometric techniques (LC/MS, GC/MS). Perform analysis using different analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, IC, UV-Vis, FTIR, NMR, KF & AT and wet chemical analysis. Development of analytical methods according to requirements. Conduct routine and non-routine testing (like Assay & Impurities wt% Residual solvents wt% etc.) of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products. Interpret analytical data and prepare reports and documentation. Ensure full compliance with Laboratory and safety standards. Maintain proper laboratory records, SOPs, and audit readiness. Maintain and troubleshooting laboratory instruments and ensure proper maintenance. Provide analysis support and collaborate with R&D teams. Support method transfers and stability studies, and partial validation of MOA. Perform complex chemical reactions, Chiral chemistry, multi-step synthesis like halogenation and pressure reactions. Multistep organic synthesis and custom Synthesis of molecules from gram to kilogram scale. [Chlorination, Bromination and Pressure reaction] Identification of impurities, their characterization and crystallization techniques. Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively and work in teams of scientists. Flexible work schedules to accommodate work performed in different geographies required. The Candidate M.Sc. in chemistry, with a preferred concentration in an analytical discipline. Typically, 5–10 years of experience in analytical laboratories. Agrochemical and Pharma Industry experience is Mandate. FMC is an equal opportunity employer.
