Director, Thought Leader Engagement & Peer-to-Peer Marketing – Gynecologic Oncology Location Field-Based / Remote Position Overview GSK Oncology is seeking a Director, Thought Leader Engagement & Peer-to-Peer Marketing to lead the strategic integration of Key External Expert (KEE) Engagement and Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Marketing across the Oncology portfolio. Reporting to the Brand Leads of the Gynecologic portfolio, this role is responsible for developing, leading and executing a comprehensive external engagement strategy that strengthens GSK's relationships with oncology thought leaders, enhances customer education, generates actionable insights, and advances brand objectives. The Director will lead a field-based team of Thought Leader Liaisons (TLLs) and home office- based Peer-to-Peer Marketing professionals, creating a unified commercial strategy for external expert engagement, faculty development, peer-to-peer education, insight generation, and launch readiness for the Gyn-Onc franchise. This leader will translate external expert insights into strategic recommendations, shape educational engagement models, influence brand strategy, and ensure alignment across key functions such as: Marketing, Sales, Medical Affairs, Analytics, Compliance, and Commercial Excellence. This leader is accountable for building an industry-leading external engagement capability that transforms expert relationships and insights into differentiated commercial strategy and launch excellence. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Establish the strategic direction, development, and execution of oncology's integrated external engagement strategy, encompassing KEE engagement, faculty development, speaker strategy, peer-to-peer education, advisory boards, and insight generation. Establish short- and long-term strategic priorities for external engagement aligned to portfolio, franchise, and brand objectives. Ensure consistent and coordinated engagement across Hematology and Solid Tumor disease areas while preserving brand-specific needs. Identify emerging trends, market dynamics, treatment evolution, and stakeholder needs to influence future engagement strategies. Serve as a strategic advisor to Oncology Marketing Leadership on KEE engagement, educational strategy, and external market perspectives. Thought Leader Engagement Excellence Lead and develop the TLL organization responsible for strategic engagement with national, regional, and local Key External Experts (KEEs). Oversee KEE identification, prioritization, segmentation, and engagement planning across the Oncology portfolio. Ensure robust process for insight generation, synthesis, prioritization, dissemination, and action planning to maximize commercial impact Drive innovative and compliant approaches to external engagement, relationship development, executive interactions, insight generation and advisory board planning. Establish performance metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness and impact of KEE engagement activities. Peer-to-Peer Marketing Leadership Lead the Peer-to-Peer Marketing organization responsible for customer education programs across the Gyn-onc portfolio Ensure peer-to-peer education strategies are informed by field insights, customer needs, and evolving treatment landscapes Oversee speaker bureau strategy, faculty recruitment, onboarding, certification, and ongoing development through you and your team. Direct national and regional peer-to-peer educational strategies, including live, virtual, third-party, and congress-based educational initiatives. Ensure educational programming supports brand objectives while addressing evolving customer needs. Continuously evaluate and optimize educational platforms, content delivery models, and customer engagement approaches. Integrated Faculty & Promotional Speaker Strategy Develop a unified faculty and thought leader strategy linking external engagement, peer-to-peer education, advisory boards, and future launch priorities. Identify and cultivate future faculty, advocates, and emerging thought leaders. Create scalable faculty development frameworks to strengthen educational quality and customer impact. Ensure coordinated management of promotional speakers and thought leaders across brands and franchises. Partner with brand teams to align faculty strategy to portfolio priorities and future launches. Insights, Analytics & Market Influence Establish a comprehensive external insight capability that integrates: KEE interactions Advisory boards Congress engagements Educational programs Market feedback Partner with Analytics, Forecasting, and Commercial Excellence teams to understand treatment patterns, customer engagement trends, and regional market dynamics. Translate external insights into strategic recommendations that influence brand planning, educational investments, and engagement priorities. Utilize quantitative and qualitative data to optimize resource allocation and customer engagement effectiveness. Congress & External Meeting Strategy Establish strategic objectives and engagement plans for national, regional, and local congresses. Ensure congress investments generate measurable educational, strategic, and commercial value through coordinated engagement and structured insight capture Ensure coordinated execution of KEE meetings, faculty activities, insight collection, and educational initiatives. Drive post-congress insight synthesis and strategic recommendations. Maximize the business value of Oncology's conference and congress investments. Cross-Functional Leadership Serve as a critical strategic partner to but not limited to: Brand Leadership Sales Leadership Medical Affairs Commercial Excellence Compliance Legal Regulatory Market Insights and Analytics Lead cross-functional planning efforts to align KEE engagement and educational initiatives with business priorities. Influence decision-making through data-driven recommendations and external market intelligence. Team Leadership & Capability Development Recruit, coach, develop, and retain high-performing teams across TLL and Peer-to-Peer Marketing functions. Foster a culture focused on customer centricity, accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Establish clear performance expectations, development plans, and succession strategies. Create organizational capabilities necessary to support future portfolio growth and launch excellence. Operational & Financial Management Oversee budget planning, investment optimization, and resource allocation across external engagement activities. Manage agency partners, vendors, educational providers, and operational support functions. Establish performance dashboards and metrics to evaluate business impact and organizational effectiveness. Ensure all activities are executed in compliance with GSK policies, PhRMA guidelines, FDA requirements, and applicable regulatory standards. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree 10+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience 7+ years of Oncology experience Experience in Marketing, Sales Leadership, Account Management, Thought Leader Engagement, or Commercial Strategy Experience directly leading people and developing teams Experience in strategy development and execution Ability to travel approximately 50–70% (including weekends) Preferred Qualifications Experience in Women’s Health (ovarian, uterine, breast, cervical, etc.) Advanced degree (MBA, Master's, PharmD, PhD or equivalent) Significant experience in both external expert engagement and commercial marketing strategy Demonstrated success influencing senior commercial leadership and enterprise-level decision making Experience leading large, geographically dispersed teams Strong scientific, commercial, a
