Job Description: To supervise and execute start-up, pilot, and development production activities, ensuring smooth transition from NPI (New Product Introduction) to mass production. Responsible for shopfloor control, manpower planning, and headcount definition to support ramp-up requirements while meeting safety, quality, and delivery targets Job Description: Lead daily execution of start-up operations including pilot runs, engineering builds, and validation lots Ensure readiness of 4M (Man, Machine, Method, Material) before line start Supervise and control line conditions during start-up phase Support smooth transition from development to volume production Define required manpower based on Production demand (forecasted ramp volume), cycle time and takt time Develop and maintain manpower loading models and schedule per shift/line Identify skill requirements and training needs for new products Optimize manpower utilization during ramp (flexibility vs efficiency) Monitor daily output, line balance, and operator performance React immediately to process abnormalities (yield loss, downtime, defects) Enforce adherence to standard work and updated instructions Ensure proper execution despite frequent changes during development Train operators on new processes and product requirements, equipment operation and handling, and critical-to-quality parameters Build multi-skilled workforce for ramp flexibility Ensure compliance with EHS standards during start-up and trials Identify risks related to new equipment, temporary setups, and new materials/processes Requirements/Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related field) Minimum of 5 years experience in semiconductor Knowledge in Production flow and line balancing, manpower planning, productivity analysis, and basic Industrial Engineering concepts (takt time, cycle time) Strong shopfloor supervision and control Ability to manage operations under uncertainty Effective communication with cross-functional teams Decision-making under pressure High sense of urgency (critical in ramp phase) Detail-oriented and disciplined execution Strong ownership and accountability Adaptable to rapid changes and shifting priorities Ability to define and justify headcount requirements based on production demand and process conditions Experience in manpower modeling, capacity planning, or line balancing Exposure to ramp environments where staffing needs change dynamically Familiarity with SPC (Statistical Process Control), process validation and qualification, root cause analysis tools (5 Why, Fishbone) Knowledge of safety protocols and cleanroom practices. Strong experience with WLCSP or advanced packaging tools is highly preferred Proficiency in MS Office and maintenance management systems.
