Success in this role requires the ability to navigate ambiguity, influence without authority, and drive organizational transformation through strong cross-functional leadership. The Project Manager independently assesses opportunities, develops solutions, aligns stakeholders, and leads execution of initiatives that improve decision-making, collaboration, and operational effectiveness across Oncology. Beyond individual projects, this role contributes to the development of scalable processes, tools, and best practices that elevate the capabilities of the broader Capabilities & Operations team and enable sustained organizational success. DRIVE STRATEGIC CAPABILITIES, ORGANIZATIONAL TRANSFORMATION, AND BUSINESS IMPACT – Apply project management, strategic thinking, and change leadership capabilities to advance Oncology Business Unit priorities, strengthen organizational effectiveness, and enable sustainable business growth. Translate ambiguity into action by independently assessing complex business challenges and opportunities, establishing direction where pathways are not clearly defined, synthesizing diverse stakeholder perspectives, and developing actionable strategies, frameworks, and implementation plans that drive business outcomes. Lead the design, planning, and implementation of strategic capabilities and organizational transformation initiatives that enhance decision-making, field team effectiveness, cross-functional collaboration, and operational efficiency across the Oncology portfolio. Develop and socialize initial concepts, recommendations, and prototypes to accelerate leadership discussions, shape strategic direction, and facilitate informed decision-making. Influence and align cross-functional stakeholders across Commercial, Medical, Market Access, Legal, Compliance, and other partner functions to advance shared priorities, navigate competing interests, and drive Oncology-wide decisions that optimize outcomes for the Oncology Business Unit over individual functional or brand priorities. Champion the adoption of new strategies, capabilities, and ways of working, building buy-in and advocacy among Oncology and enterprise leaders while effectively navigating organizational change. Leverage organizational awareness, active listening, and strong stakeholder networks to identify emerging business needs, capability gaps, and opportunities for improvement, proactively developing recommendations and mobilizing stakeholders to drive action. Promote a test-and-learn mindset, encouraging experimentation, rapid iteration, and incorporation of feedback to accelerate capability development and continuous improvement. PROJECT PLANNING & MANAGEMENT – Lead complex, cross-functional projects or programs from initiation to successful completion, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Co-create and manage project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in partnership with stakeholders and sponsors. Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring adherence through efficient coordination and oversight. Provide operational guidance and proactively identify opportunities to improve existing processes, gain efficiencies, and drive continuous improvement. Facilitate project meetings, set objectives, track action items, and keep team members and stakeholders informed through consistent, proactive communication. Track and report on project metrics and KPIs related to solution development and implementation; develop appropriate tracking tools and visuals. Oversee budget allocation, procurement, and vendor management for key initiatives; ensure teams are accountable for budget usage and approvals. Proactively identify risks, issues, and dependencies, implement mitigation strategies, troubleshoot challenges, and escalate as needed. Manage stakeholder expectations and engagement at all levels, including executives, sponsors, end users, technical project managers from partner teams, and cross-functional contributors. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, internal and external regulatory requirements, and quality standards throughout project execution. Conduct project retrospectives and summarize learnings for consideration in refining processes and standards across the broader project management team. LEAD HIGH-PERFORMING AND COLLABORATIVE TEAMS – Foster a culture of High Performing Teams with relevant project or program teams. Promote open and transparent communication to encourage collaboration and feedback across all levels. Recognize and celebrate individual and team achievements to boost morale and motivation. Create an environment of trust, psychological safety, and respect where team members feel valued and empowered to contribute ideas. Hold team members accountable for deliverables while providing support and constructive feedback for improved performance. Foster diversity, inclusion, and equitable participation within project teams. Enable cross-functional collaboration, breaking down silos to leverage broader organizational strengths. Model and reinforce a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and adaptability to change.
