A Day in the LifeThe Senior Digital / Social Media Specialist will play a critical role in advancing the Medtronic Interventional Cardiology Therapies (ICT) business by developing and executing integrated social media strategies across consumer and healthcare professional (HCP) audiences. This role spans both established franchises and an emerging, high-growth business, offering a unique opportunity to help shape and scale social media engagement across different lifecycle stages. The role requires strong collaboration across the Integrated Marketing team, Digital Marketing, DTC, Corporate, legal, agencies and other cross-functional partners. A core focus of the position will be owning and managing a robust direct-to-consumer (DTC) social media strategy for Renal Denervation—an exciting and expanding dimension of the RDN DTC marketing approach—alongside driving social engagement with healthcare professionals, primarily through LinkedIn. Given the DTC component is expected to be roughly 70% of the role, consumer experience is highly preferred. A Day in the Life: Own, implement, and evolve a comprehensive direct-to-consumer (DTC) social media strategy for Renal Denervation in partnership with DTC and Integrated Marketing teams. Build social communities across consumer channels, helping accelerate and advance the success of national DTC integrated marketing campaigns. Support healthcare professional social media strategies across ICT, with primary focus on LinkedIn. Develop and execute social media strategies supporting business objectives across ICT for both HCP and consumer audiences. Partner with the digital marketing team to elevate LinkedIn strategy and presence and align social efforts with web and programmatic initiatives. Create, plan, schedule, publish, and manage organic and paid social media content. Track, analyze, and report on social media performance, providing insights and optimization recommendations. Monitor social channels and comments, following established procedures for responses, complaints, and issue escalation. Maintain a pulse on the evolving social media landscape, including emerging platforms and new features, and partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate pilot opportunities. Operate effectively in a highly matrixed environment, partnering across functions and organizational levels to achieve business objectives while building strong cross-functional relationships and aligns diverse stakeholders to drive successful outcomes. Required Knowledge and Experience: Bachelor’s degree with four (4) years of relevant experience, OR an advanced degree and two (2) years of relevant experience Advanced knowledge of digital and social media marketing, including both organic and paid social media initiatives. Experience supporting consumer and healthcare professional marketing preferred. Strong analytical, organizational, and collaboration skills. Ability to manage multiple projects independently and work effectively across diverse stakeholder groups. For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required. PR) locations (USD):$83,200.00 - $124,800.00 This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
