Materials & Structural Analysis Division (MSD) of Thermo Fisher Scientific is charged with selling and servicing Thermo Fisher Scientific products in geographical territories worldwide. The MSD Organization serves as the primary Thermo Fisher Scientific contact to both potential customers and current customers alike, providing a range of valuable products and services and maintaining the highest levels of customer happiness. Position Location: 경기도 (용인, 화성, 평택, 수원 등), 대전, 경상권 (추후 적합 포지션 제안 시 지역 안내 예정) 전자현미경(EM) Field Application Scientist/Engineer (응용지원) (인재풀) Key Responsibilities:Provide technical application support for Thermo Fisher Scientific Electron Microscopy (EM) solutions, including product demonstrations, customer training, and application development. Deliver on-site and remote application support to customers throughout the pre-sales and post-sales process. Develop and optimize application methods, workflows, automation recipes, and Best Known Methods (BKM) to maximize customer productivity. Collaborate with Sales, Service, Product Management, and R&D teams to deliver technical solutions and ensure customer success. Support customer acceptance tests, system implementation, and application validation for newly installed instruments. Build strong relationships with customers by acting as a trusted technical advisor and providing scientific consultation. Gather customer feedback on product performance, applications, and market needs, and communicate insights to global product teams. Support troubleshooting of application-related issues in collaboration with Field Service Engineers and factory teams. Deliver technical presentations, seminars, and training programs for customers and internal stakeholders. Travel domestically and internationally as required to support customer sites and business activities. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or above in Materials Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Nanotechnology, Semiconductor Engineering, or other related scientific/engineering disciplines. Experience using Electron Microscopy (TEM, SEM, FIB-SEM, DualBeam or related microscopy technologies) in academia, research institutes, or industrial environments is preferred. Experience in semiconductor, materials science, failure analysis, or advanced characterization applications is preferred. Strong scientific problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze customer applications and recommend technical solutions. Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills with a customer-oriented mindset. Effective verbal and written communication skills in both Korean and English. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams. Willingness to travel frequently within Korea and occasionally internationally.
