This Position reports to: NewCo Reference Job Your responsabilities Join our embedded software team developing control solutions for power electronics converters You will contribute to the embedded software platform of a special marine drive, working close to the hardware and the real-time control of industrial equipment. In this role, you will help run what runs the world by developing embedded software that supports reliable, efficient and safe operation of converter control units: Design, implement and maintain embedded software modules in C/C++ for real-time converter control systems. Translate system and product requirements into software specifications, architecture contributions and detailed design. Integrate and validate software on target hardware, including bare-metal or RTOS-based environments. Define, execute and document unit, integration and system-level tests, including hands-on validation on Madrid test benches. Collaborate with control, hardware, testing, commissioning and service teams to diagnose issues and deliver robust product solutions. Our Team Dynamics You will join a collaborative engineering team with strong ownership of embedded software, firmware and control functionality for industrial converter products. We work across disciplines, share technical knowledge and focus on practical, high-quality solutions that can be validated in real equipment. Qualifications for the Role Master’s degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Industrial Engineering or a related technical field. Strong programming skills in C or C++ for embedded systems with real-time constraints. At least 3 years of experience in embedded software or firmware development, preferably in RTOS-based and bare-metal environments. Experience debugging and troubleshooting complex systems involving software, hardware and control behavior. Ability to work with requirements, technical documentation, version control and structured development processes. Ownership mindset, analytical thinking and commitment to continuous improvement. Availability to participate in validation activities at our Madrid test benches and to travel when required. Nice to have: Experience with Git, GitLab or Azure DevOps in collaborative development environments. Knowledge of digital signal processing, closed-loop control, power electronics or electrical machines. Ability to understand electrical diagrams, digital hardware interfaces and communication signals. Hands-on experience with laboratory instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators or protocol analyzers. Structured, methodical and pragmatic way of working, with attention to detail and clear technical communication.
