This Position reports to: R&D Engineer Your role and responsibilities: In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the strategic technology direction by contributing your own ideas for identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative technology, software and solutions. Each day, you will assist the Research and Development (R&D) team by executing your assigned tasks and using technical knowledge in a structured way. You will also showcase your expertise by staying abreast of the state of the art and actively applying this knowledge. The work model for the role is: #LI-Onsite This role is contributing to the Electrification - Smart Power division in Hyderabad. You will be mainly accountable for: Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with international and interdisciplinary R&D teams on simulating, optimizing, and validating new electrification products (i.e., circuit breakers, e-fuses, soft starters, switches, switchgears, power converters, and UPS) before real-world implementation. Accountability: Deliver value to stakeholders through reliable execution of thermal analysis, CFD simulations, and Multiphysics optimizations. Coaching & Mentoring: Support R&D teams in building modeling and simulation competencies, performing standard analyses, and some specific high-complexity simulations Team Work: Collaborate within our Center of Excellence in building a shared cutting-edge library of modular, scalable, and reusable digital twins Reliability & Quality Focus: Conduct validation and verification activities to ensure our digital twins meet requirements and specifications and fulfill their intended purpose. Technical Communication and Documentation: Engage in the technical discussion by providing simulation-driven insights to address thermal challenges. Write technical report to document modeling methods, simulations results, and suggestions for design improvement. Initiative and Innovation: Foster innovation by collaborating with corporate research centers, universities, and external partners to explore and introduce new simulation approaches and technologies. Qualifications for the role : You are passionate about modeling and simulations Master degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with basic knowledge in electrical engineering You have 2+ years of experience in CAE, CFD, thermal analysis of power electronics devices, and the ability to simulate large assemblies You enjoy working with DS SIMULIA (i.e. 3DExperience, Power FLOW), ANSYS (i.e., Fluent and Icepack), MATLAB Simulink and Python. Basic knowledge of MCAD (PTC Creo, Catia, Solidworks) and ECAD (Altium Designer) is a plus. Possess an active and collaborative mindset, adept at both independent work and participation within a nimble, high-velocity team. You have innovative skills and an inclination to contribute to the evolution of the team. Good command of English (both spoken and written) and strong communication skills.
