The Franchise Lead, Hematology leads the execution of the strategy and commercial plan for the BMS Hematology portfolio in Mexico, delivering the franchise's revenue targets and launch objectives under the direction of the Head of Commercial. This is a people-leadership role that manages a Brand Lead and a District Manager while serving as the Decision Maker for the CELMoDs Unified Brand Plan (UBP), the franchise's central launch priority. The role develops and executes brand and franchise plans across in-line and pipeline assets, coordinates launch readiness for the 2027–2029 hematology wave (Iberdomide, Mezigdomide, Golcadomide; Breyanzi CAR-T), and sustains the in-line Reblozyl trajectory. It integrates asset-level plans into a coherent franchise recommendation and submits it to the Head of Commercial. Key Responsibilities A. Franchise Planning & Execution Execute the annual franchise strategic and commercial plan (per quarter and per year) to meet the Hematology revenue and launch commitments, in alignment with the direction set by the Head of Commercial. Support portfolio prioritization and manage resource allocation across in-line and pipeline assets within the approved budget. Prepare business reviews, brand plans, and business cases with cross-functional teams for review. B. CELMoDs Brand Strategy & UBP — Decision Maker Develop and execute the UBP (8 Strategic Choices) for CELMoDs Mexico as the Decision Maker (D) under the DAI model. Deliver P1–P3 UBP Updates, applying the 7 Key Business Questions to adapt the plan to market learnings. Manage the 360° Brand Plan for CELMoDs — pre-launch market shaping, launch, execution, and post-launch optimization across public and private sectors. Integrate CELMoDs and Reblozyl plans into a coherent franchise recommendation for the Head of Commercial's approval. C. Launch Execution Lead and coordinate launch readiness and execution for CELMoDs (Iberdomide MM, best-case Q1 2027; Mezigdomide 2028; Golcadomide 2029) and Breyanzi CAR-T (2028 assumption). Coordinate immersion workshops, launch execution, and stakeholder communication across MM and Lymphoma. D. People Leadership & Team Development Lead, coach, and develop the Reblozyl Brand Lead and the Hematology District Manager (who leads the TAS field team). Set performance objectives, drive development plans, and support talent, succession, and capability building. Foster a high-performance, AI-enabled, patient-centric culture. E. Commercial Planning, Forecasting & Budget Develop scenario planning and production forecasts for the franchise. Track performance via business reviews and KPIs, and course-correct in line with UBP Updates. Define project budgets, manage monthly accruals and reconciliation, and ensure franchise expenses stay within the approved budget; provide CIP inputs and resource recommendations. F. Access, Institutional & Patient Journey Identify key milestones across sectors: Private, decentralized, and centralized institutions (IMSS/Torre de Control, ISSSTE, IMSS-Bienestar). Partner with HEOR on price strategy; support access execution across fragmented public/private payers. Support execution across the full patient journey, including digital/omnichannel solutions. G. Matrix Leadership & Cross-Functional Coordination Coordinate projects and initiatives across Medical, Market Access, and commercial operations (DAI Advisors) without direct authority. Partner with LATAM Launch Excellence and Global 3M partners; engage KOLs per sector. H. Managing Up & Stakeholder Engagement Manage up to the Head of Commercial on launch readiness, opportunities, tradeoffs, and resource needs. Translate franchise choices into clear recommendations for the Head of Commercial. I. AI-Led Commercialization Champion local adoption of SAMai, UBP Accelerator, and AI-enabled decision-making across the franchise team. Skills & Proficiency Requirements Skill Pillar Required Proficiency Scientific Agility Proficient — hematology / MM / Lymphoma / CELMoD MoA fluency Insight & Analytical Fluency Expert Access Acumen Proficient — elevated given Mexico public/private complexity Strategic Thinking & Articulation Expert Data-Driven Customer Experience Proficient/Expert Financial & Business Acumen Proficient — budget, accruals, ROI (P&L ownership at Head of Commercial) People Leadership Proficient/Expert — team development, coaching, performance management Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, Pharmacy, Medicine, or related field; MBA/advanced degree preferred. 7+ years progressive pharmaceutical commercial/marketing experience; 3+ years in Brand/Franchise Management. Hematology experience preferred; Oncology experience desired. Demonstrated experience leading teams. Demonstrated launch experience in Mexico (hematology/oncology preferred). Working understanding of Mexican public sector (IMSS, ISSSTE, IMSS-Bienestar, tenders) and private-sector dynamics. Ability to lead and influence in a matrix environment without direct authority. Strong commercial acumen: forecasting, GTM planning, performance management, budget accuracy.
