As a Data Strategy & Acquisition Analyst based in Hyderabad within our Global Analytics and Technology Center of Excellence (GATE), you will build deep expertise in the U.S. healthcare data landscape. You will partner with cross-functional teams and U.S. stakeholders to evaluate, acquire, and manage data sources, directly shaping how Roche uses data to support commercial and strategic business needs in the U.S. market. The OpportunityDataset Management: Support the evaluation, acquisition, and ongoing management of a broad range of U.S. healthcare datasets, including payer, market access, claims, sales, and competitive intelligence. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with U.S. stakeholders to understand business needs, clarify use cases, and translate complex business questions into clear data requirements, evaluation criteria, and actionable next steps. Vendor Evaluation: Evaluate new and existing datasets and vendors (such as IQVIA, Komodo Health, MMIT, and DRG Fingertip) based on business relevance, methodology, quality, limitations, and fit-for-purpose application. External Partnerships: Partner with external data vendors to understand source methodologies, resolve data-related queries, and ensure timely access to high-quality datasets. Data Profiling & Risk Assessment: Apply structured thinking to perform data profiling, data comparison, and validation. Assess potential gaps or risks, challenge assumptions, and provide constructive pushback to ensure alignment with business objectives. Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including dataset summaries, vendor comparisons, and standard operating procedures, to support decision-making around data investments. Who You AreEducation: You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Healthcare, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or a related discipline. Experience: You have 2–4 years of relevant experience in pharma, healthcare analytics, life sciences consulting, market research, or commercial analytics. Industry Knowledge: You bring a strong foundation in biology, life sciences, and the pharmaceutical industry, possessing a deep understanding of the healthcare ecosystem, the drug development process, and the U.S. commercial/market access landscape. Analytical & Strategic Thinking: You possess strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail. This enables you to engage stakeholders consultatively, ask strategic questions, and synthesize complex information into clear summaries, actionable recommendations, and “so what?” insights. Communication & Organization: You are an effective communicator with strong organizational and documentation skills. You can manage multiple priorities and are comfortable working both independently and collaboratively across time zones with U.S.-based teams and external vendors. Data Platforms & Datasets Expertise: You have exposure to external healthcare data platforms and vendors (e.g., MMIT, DRG Fingertip, IQVIA, Komodo Health, Evaluate, Citeline, Spherix Global Insights, Dedham Group, NCCN). You are highly familiar with datasets spanning payer intelligence, sales, claims, real-world data (RWD), field intelligence, market access, and competitive/market intelligence. Technical Skills: You are familiar with (or willing to learn) SQL for basic data extraction, validation, and investigation. Additionally, you have exposure to data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Amazon QuickSight, or similar platforms, along with a basic understanding of data quality concepts.
