Sr Software Engineer- Collibra LiveWhat you will do The Amgen AI&D -EDSE Team is seeking a Collibra Developer to support enterprise data governance, metadata management, data cataloging, and workflow automation initiatives. The role will focus on configuring, developing, and maintaining Collibra capabilities that enable effective data stewardship, data quality visibility, lineage, governance workflows, and integration with enterprise data platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Collibra Data Intelligence Platform, data governance processes, workflow development, metadata modeling, API integrations, and enterprise data management practices. Key Responsibilities Collibra Development and ConfigurationConfigure and customize Collibra communities, domains, asset types, attributes, relations, roles, responsibilities, and operating models. Develop and maintain Collibra workflows using BPMN, Groovy scripting, and Collibra workflow capabilities. Build and enhance governance workflows for data ownership, stewardship, certification, issue management, access requests, and policy approvals. Configure dashboards, views, reports, and user experiences within Collibra. Metadata and Data GovernanceSupport metadata ingestion, cataloging, classification, and enrichment across enterprise data platforms. Define and maintain business glossaries, data dictionaries, reference data, and governance assets. Implement data lineage, data quality rules, policy mapping, and stewardship processes. Partner with data owners, data stewards, platform engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to capture governance requirements. Integrations and AutomationDevelop integrations between Collibra and enterprise systems using Collibra REST APIs, Java APIs, Edge, JDBC, and workflow APIs. Automate metadata ingestion, synchronization, validation, and governance processes. Support integrations with platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure, Informatica, Tableau, Power BI, or other enterprise data tools, as applicable. Troubleshoot integration issues and support production operations. Platform Support and OperationsMonitor Collibra jobs, workflows, integrations, and platform health. Support incident resolution, defect fixes, enhancements, testing, release management, and deployment activities. Maintain documentation for configurations, workflows, integrations, and governance processes. Ensure solutions follow enterprise standards for security, compliance, auditability, and scalability. Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, Engineering, or related field. 5 or more years of overall experience. 3 or more years of hands-on experience with Collibra Data Intelligence Platform. Experience configuring Collibra operating model components such as communities, domains, asset types, attributes, relations, statuses, roles, and responsibilities. Experience developing Collibra workflows using BPMN, Groovy, or related scripting. Experience with Collibra REST APIs, workflow APIs, and integration patterns. Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, data cataloging, data lineage, and data stewardship concepts. Experience working with SQL and relational databases. Ability to work with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into Collibra solutions. Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills. Preferred QualificationsCollibra certification or formal Collibra training. Experience with Collibra Edge, Collibra Protect, Data Quality, or Data Lineage capabilities. Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or regulated enterprise environments. Experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar. Experience with data integration or ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, Matillion, Airflow, or DBT. Familiarity with Agile delivery, Jira, Confluence, Git, CI/CD, and release management practices. Understanding of compliance, privacy, security, and data governance controls in regulated industries. Technical SkillsCollibra: Data Catalog, Data Governance Center, Workflow Designer, Edge, APIs Workflow/Scripting: BPMN, Groovy, JavaScript, Java basics APIs: REST, JSON, OAuth, service accounts Databases: SQL, relational databases, metadata repositories Cloud/Data Platforms: Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure, or equivalent Tools: Jira, Confluence, Git, Postman, CI/CD tools Concepts: Metadata management, data lineage, business glossary, stewardship, data quality, governance workflows Soft SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.
