PurposeWe are looking for a Senior Training Specialist to join our team in Galway, Ireland. In this role, you will lead the site training function and help develop and implement training programs that support business objectives and meet applicable regulatory requirements. You will work closely with leaders, subject matter experts, and employees across the site to ensure training programs are effective, compliant, and aligned with organizational needs. This position plays an important role in preparing employees for success in their current responsibilities while supporting ongoing development, capability building, and operational excellence across the organization. You will be responsible forWorking closely with management, employees, and functional teams, you will identify training needs and help deliver effective training solutions that support business and compliance requirements. You will contribute to the development and continuous improvement of training programs, monitoring their effectiveness and ensuring employees have the skills, knowledge, and qualifications needed to perform their roles successfully. Key responsibilities include:Consulting with management, employees, and departments to identify training needs and develop effective training solutions Recommending, developing, acquiring, and delivering training programs that support company objectives Implementing and maintaining training metrics to monitor training effectiveness and business impact Summarizing training assessment results and attendance data and presenting findings to management, as appropriate Creating training materials in collaboration with subject matter experts Developing and maintaining training programs that support company needs and comply with applicable regulatory requirements Supporting the implementation of Training Within Industry (TWI) methodology and other initiatives designed to optimize training practices across operational areas Acting as a subject matter trainer for quality system and other site-specific topics and supporting trainer certification activities Supporting the effective use of Learning Management Systems (LMS) to manage training requirements and records Applying project management and process excellence principles to training initiatives Leading high-complexity projects, where applicable Creating procedures and collaborating on training processes, including training curricula administration, training records, operator certification, training archives, audit support, and regulatory inspection readiness Communicating and escalating issues to the appropriate management level when needed Supporting compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality requirements Coaching, mentoring, and developing team members, where applicable Ensuring assigned personnel have the appropriate education, training, and experience required to perform their responsibilities This role also serves as a subject matter expert for site training processes and works closely with all site functions to support training programs, Learning Management Systems, and training compliance activities. RequirementsWe are looking for someone who is passionate about developing people, improving learning experiences, and supporting a culture of quality and continuous learning. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience, including at least 2 years in a training-related role Minimum of 3 years of project management experience Experience designing, developing, and delivering successful training programs Experience working in manufacturing, operations, research and development, or new product development environments Project management experience is required Change management experience is preferred Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is preferred Knowledge of GMP, ISO requirements, and regulated environments is preferred Experience working in FDA and/or European regulatory environments is preferred Knowledge of Process Excellence and/or Six Sigma methodologies is preferred Training Within Industry (TWI), ASQ, and/or Six Sigma certifications are preferred TWI certification is preferred Strong communication, interpersonal, coaching, and presentation skills Strong leadership and influencing skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Fluent in English and local language, where applicable Demonstrates an understanding of AI concepts and frameworks, including awareness of responsible and ethical AI practices, and uses effective prompting techniques to support efficiency and productivity What we offerWe offer a collaborative and inclusive environment where learning, development, and innovation are encouraged.
