Job Description SummaryAs a Senior Test Automation Engineer, you will join a team of test automation experts whose goal is to design test solutions that challenge and stress the functionality, reliability, and performance of our wearable patient monitoring products. You will play a key role in defining test automation strategies, influencing technical decisions, and driving quality engineering practices for next-generation patient monitoring products used by healthcare professionals around the world. The position is hybrid, with an expectation of three days per week in our Helsinki office. Job Description Key Responsibilities Develop the testing framework and automated test cases for patient monitors, covering data acquisition, physiological measurement, UX/UI, algorithms, communication protocols, networking, etc. Translate product requirements into test strategies and test implementations. Execute, maintain, and report on automated test results. Collaborate with developers to investigate and drive issues to resolution. Own and continuously improve test infrastructure, test environments, CI/CD integration, coverage, reliability, and execution efficiency. Drive adoption of modern test automation practices, AI-assisted development, and engineering excellence across the team. Ensure compliance with medical regulatory standards. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, or related field. Significant of hands-on experience in software development and test automation. Strong programming skills in Python and extensive experience developing automation solutions using Robot Framework or similar. Experience with Git, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software engineering practices. Strong Linux skills, including shell scripting and troubleshooting. Experience using AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and code quality. Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills and a passion for software testing and quality. Self-driven mindset with strong ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement attitude. Fluent in English (spoken and written). EU work permit required. Preferred Skills Experience in regulated industries such as medical devices, healthcare, automotive, aerospace, or telecommunications. Hands-on experience with hardware, software integration testing and system-level verification. Understanding of software lifecycle processes and quality standards for regulated products. Experience with embedded systems debugging, including serial interfaces, firmware flashing, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and network protocol analysis. Experience with container technologies, e.g., Docker, Podman.
