The Opportunity Our diagnostic solutions are used in hospitals, laboratories, and clinics around the globe. The crucial information derived from our tests, instruments and informatics systems are often the first step in patient care decision making for hundreds of health conditions from heart attacks to blood disorders to infectious diseases and cancers. Our location in Lake Forest, IL currently has an opportunity for a Contract Management Representative. The Contract Management Representative is responsible for leading contract lifecycle management activities, including pre-signature support, contract implementation, ongoing contract administration, compliance monitoring, and end-of-term management. In this role, you will oversee the execution of a wide range of contract-related activities, including Abbott- and customer-initiated amendments, product pricing adjustments, contracted price actions, customer compliance tracking, reconciliation processes, shipping discount programs, contract-related value-added initiatives, rebate administration, and contract renewal or termination activities. As a subject matter expert on contract management and pricing, you will provide guidance and support to cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring contract terms are accurately implemented, administered, and maintained while supporting business objectives and delivering positive customer experience. What You'll Work On Lead Contract Development & Implementation Create customized contract documentation and exhibits based on approved commercial proposals, including pricing schedules, membership documentation, disclosure statements, insurance certificates, and other contract requirements. Facilitate post-signature implementation meetings with cross-functional stakeholders to align on contract requirements, execution plans, and customer commitments. Partner closely with Commercial Sales leaders to evaluate and implement customized contract terms and pricing arrangements. Drive Contract Lifecycle ManagementManage contract amendments, pricing updates, contract renewals, and other customer- and Abbott-initiated changes throughout the life of the agreement. Serve as the primary point of contact for contract administration activities across Blood Bank, GPO, and Enterprise Accounts. Collaborate with Strategic Pricing teams to address pricing inquiries and support contract modifications. Oversee Contract Financial ProgramsAdminister rebate programs, including setup, tracking, reconciliation, and coordination with customers and Finance teams. Manage contractual value-added programs by monitoring commitments, tracking utilization, and processing associated payments through SAP and related systems. Support customer compliance monitoring, contract performance tracking, and financial reconciliation activities. Support Customer Onboarding & Operational ExecutionCoordinate new customer onboarding activities, including development and delivery of contract welcome packages. Ensure successful implementation of service agreements by partnering with Contract Administration Specialists and Field Service teams. Coordinate equipment deployment and related logistics, including automation systems, temporary instrument placements, UPS systems, and third-party support equipment. Ensure Contract Compliance & End-of-Term SuccessMonitor contract compliance and proactively manage notifications, commitments, and customer obligations. Lead End-of-term activities, including renewals, evergreen provisions, contract expirations, termination processes, and wind-down activities. Partner with Business Managers, Sales, and other stakeholders to resolve contract-related issues and drive favorable outcomes. Serve as a Subject Matter ExpertProvide expert guidance on contract interpretation, pricing structures, and contract administration processes. Identify opportunities to improve contract processes, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Support additional projects and strategic initiatives that contribute to organizational success. Required Qualifications 4-yr degree in Business, or Finance discipline bachelor’s degree or related required. 2 years' experience in a Contract Management Representative position or comparable experience. Strong analytical skills with proficient working knowledge of excel. Critical thinkers with effective communication skills to drive cross functional collaboration. Preferred Qualifications Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in at least one of the following areas is preferred: Contracting/Pricing, Customer Service, Sales, Marketing (administration or operations), or Commercial Finance preferably in healthcare-related market.
