About the Role:As a Field Applications Specialist – Clinical Diagnostics, you will support our customers, giving the best possible experience with clinical diagnostics products and support the business by providing pre- and post-sales technical support, generating demand, accelerating sales and building market share. What You'll Do:As the technical expert for your product portfolio, you will: Deliver pre- and post-sales technical application support for our Clinical Diagnostics portfolio. Install, configure and commission new laboratory systems at customer sites. Train laboratory staff to ensure confident and effective use of Thermo Fisher instrumentation and software. Troubleshoot complex application and workflow issues, resolving customer enquiries both remotely and on-site. Support products including automated biochemistry analysers, Clinical, Veterinary and Toxicology assays, Point-of-Care testing systems, quality control products and associated software. Partner with Sales and Service teams to drive customer success, adoption and business growth. Collaborate with Product Management to provide customer insights and support new product launches. Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations and educational workshops. Accurately document customer interactions using CRM systems. Stay current with emerging technologies through ongoing technical training and professional development. EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Laboratory Science or another relevant scientific discipline (Master's degree advantageous). ExperienceMinimum 3 years' experience in a clinical laboratory or diagnostics environment. Experience supporting clinical diagnostic instrumentation or laboratory workflows. Experience with Thermo Fisher Clinical Diagnostics instruments preferred. Experience delivering customer training or technical presentations preferred. Previous field applications, technical support or customer-facing laboratory experience preferred. Strong understanding of biochemistry, clinical chemistry or related diagnostic technologies. Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesEnjoys solving technical challenges and helping customers succeed. Has excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills. Builds strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders. Communicates complex scientific concepts clearly to a variety of audiences. Works independently while collaborating effectively across Sales, Service and Product Management teams. Demonstrates strong organisational and time management skills. Is comfortable working across laboratory, hospital and healthcare environments. Is proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems. Physical Requirements / Work Environment Current driver's licence and willingness to travel throughout the region (approximately 25%). Other Important Information Occasional off-hours support or project-based flexibility may be required to support critical activities such as commissioning or equipment start-ups.
