The role As a Junior Infrastructure Migration Expert, you will join our migration teams on high-stakes cloud transformation projects. You will be involved across the full migration lifecycle — assessment, planning, provisioning, execution, validation, and post-migration hypercare. You will work on the migration of applications, data, and infrastructure from on-premises or legacy environments to major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), for leading organisations across industries. This role will give you deep, practical expertise in the migration technologies and methodologies most in demand on the market today. Key responsibilities Participate in cloud readiness assessments: application inventory, dependency mapping, and infrastructure cataloguing. Contribute to the development of migration strategies (lift-and-shift, replatforming, refactoring) based on assessment outputs, application dependencies, technical and business constraints… Define migration waves, sequencing, and cutover plans for complex, multi-platforms environments. Provision cloud target infrastructure using IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation…) in line with migration and client’s standards. Participate in workloads and applications migration approaches: Data schema evolution, dual-write strategies, data replication and integrity validation, cutover sequencing. Execute application migration tasks: packaging, reconfiguration, workloads migration or redeployment, environment variable updates, IP readdressing, dependency validation, technical testing… Drive and execute post-migration activities, Hyper-Care period (to stabilize migrated workloads) and transition of operations to RUN teams, including implementation of backup, observability, OS patching, privileged access, documentation updates… Implement observability and monitoring controls during and after migrations (metrics, logs, alerts). Maintain accurate migration documentation: runbooks, post-migration reports, and decision logs. Coordinate with security, networking, and application teams to resolve migration blockers. Support decommissioning of legacy infrastructure following successful migration. Our scope spans cloud architecture and migration, AI applied to infrastructure, managed service excellence and digital workplace transformation. Your Profile Language Requirements Fluency in English and French and/or Dutch is required. Ability to work effectively in an international and multicultural environment. Required Skills Working knowledge of at least one public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI) and/or Private Cloud platform. Understanding of migration strategies: Rehost, Replatform, Refactor, Retire, Retain (6R model). Good infrastructure knowledge across multiple infrastructure technologies and tools: SAN/NAS storage, backup, infrastructure monitoring, Virtualization platforms (VMWare, RedHat OpenShift…) Familiarity with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) for infrastructure provisioning. Basic Linux and Windows Server administration: services, networking, logs, and patch management. Networking fundamentals: DNS, IP addressing, vlans, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN. Ability to read and write basic scripts (Bash, Python, or PowerShell) to automate migration tasks. Attention to detail and rigorous documentation skills in executing migration runbooks. ​ Preferred Skills Exposure to containerisation (Docker) and migration of containerised workloads. Familiarity with cloud-native database migration tools (AWS DMS, Azure Database Migration Service). Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and associated tooling (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps). Experience with monitoring tools: Grafana, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor. Basic knowledge of ITIL change management processes. Relevant Certifications AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or AWS Solutions Architect – Associate. Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or Azure Administrator (AZ-104). Google Associate Cloud Engineer. HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate. Additional Requirements Candidates must be citizens of a NATO member country.
