The role As a Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Architect, you will own the technical leadership of complex cloud and hybrid transformation programmes for enterprise clients. Recognised as an architectural authority, you will define standards, patterns, and technology roadmaps, advising IT leadership and CxOs on their strategic choices. You will drive multi-cloud adoption (AWS, Azure, GCP), architect resilient and secure cloud-native platforms, and actively contribute to pre-sales, innovation, and practice capability development. You will also serve as a mentor for junior and mid-level architects across your scope. Key Responsibilities Lead the definition, design, and documentation of enterprise-grade cloud and hybrid architectures. Develop and own cloud architecture strategies, governance standards, and compliance frameworks. Drive cloud adoption and lead architectural decision-making for complex, multi-workload enterprise transformations. Provide solution architecture guidance and conduct analysis of alternative architectural patterns. Define multi-cloud strategy across AWS, Azure, and GCP, including hybrid and edge computing scenarios. Architect and oversee the delivery of PaaS platforms and containerised workloads at scale. Define IaC patterns, CI/CD blueprints, and DevSecOps automation standards. Model Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and promote cost-optimised, FinOps-aligned architectures. Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and trusted technical advisor to client CxOs and IT leadership. Mentor junior and mid-level architects, facilitate communities of practice, and contribute to capability development. Engage in business development activities: opportunity qualification, solution shaping, and proposal writing. Contribute to thought leadership, technical publications, and practice innovation initiatives. Our scope spans cloud architecture and migration, AI applied to infrastructure, managed service excellence and digital workplace transformation. Your profile Language Requirements Fluency in English and fluency in French and/or Dutch Ability to work effectively in an international and multicultural environment. Required Skills Deep expertise in multi-cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP) and large-scale hybrid cloud deployments. Mastery of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, Pulumi) and GitOps practices. Expert-level container orchestration: Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE), Helm, service meshes (Istio, Linkerd). Advanced networking expertise: SD-WAN, BGP, ExpressRoute/Direct Connect, Zero Trust Networking, SASE. Strong cloud security architecture: IAM, encryption, compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, NIS2). Experience defining enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices at scale. Ability to design high-availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity architectures. Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and engage at CxO level. Strong analytical skills for architecture trade-offs, cost modelling, and risk assessment. Preferred Skills Experience with generative AI and LLM infrastructure (GPU clusters, vector databases, inference optimisation). Familiarity with platform engineering, developer portals (Backstage), and Internal Developer Platforms. Experience with FinOps tooling and cloud cost governance frameworks in managed services contexts. Knowledge of legacy infrastructure or mainframe modernisation patterns. Consulting background in managed services or systems integration environments. Exposure to edge computing, industrial IoT, or 5G infrastructure architectures. Relevant Certifications AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional. Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305). Google Professional Cloud Architect. Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA). HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate / Professional. TOGAF 9/10 or equivalent enterprise architecture framework certification. Additional Requirements Candidates must be citizens of a NATO member country. Candidates must be eligible to work in Belgium.
