In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by applying basic design thinking/design for excellence concepts in projects. The work model for the role is # LI - Hybrid. This role is contributing to the to the Process Automation business in Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India You will be mainly accountable for: You will be mainly accountable for: Execute Advanced Process Control/Optimizer projects including assessment, kick-off, pre-test, plant test, design, modeling, configuration, installation, commissioning, and post-audit. Implement ABB Ability™ Advanced Process Control/ Optimizer/Loop Performance Monitoring technologies as Lead Consultant/Engineer for any of the following sector - Chemicals and Specialty Chemicals, Energy and Utility, Refinery and Petrochemicals and Fertilizer Perform/Participate in Advanced Process Control/ Optimizer studies, proof of concepts/trial evaluation and provide user training. Support Sales and Marketing to grow Advanced Process Control/ Optimizer business. Assist with technical and Commercial proposals for new projects. Estimate Budget, Cost Modelling for a project. Shares best practices Lessons-Learned documentation across different projects and disciplines. Develop standard processes and tools for productivity and quality improvement. Qualifications for the role 5-8 years of experience of using the commercial APC software’s such as ABB Ability™ PnC, Honeywell Profit™ Suite, Aspen DMCplus / DMC3, Yokogawa SMOC etc. Candidates have experience in plant operations and Expertise in APC, control systems, and Open Platform Communication OPC Prior experience of handling a complete APC project cycle from any of the following sectors : Chemicals and Specialty Chemicals Energy and Utility Refinery and Petrochemicals Steam and Power Generation Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills in the field of advanced process control. Experience in estimating engineering efforts and Developing standards, tools for productivity improvement Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or a related engineering degree. An advanced degree is preferred.
