Senior Datawarehouse Engineer We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Data Engineer to join our data organization. This role combines hands-on technical work with people leadership responsibilities, including managing direct reports. You will play a key role in shaping how we build, scale, and evolve our data platform while building and mentoring a high-performing team. The Role Serve as a Technical Lead within the Enterprise Data Warehouse team, providing strategic technical direction and hands-on expertise in designing, building, and optimizing scalable data solutions Act as a mentor and coach to junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, technical excellence, and innovation Drive the adoption and implementation of AI-powered data solutions leveraging Microsoft Fabric or similar modern data platforms to enhance enterprise analytics capabilities Collaborate cross-functionally with business stakeholders, data scientists, analysts, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality data products that support organizational objectives Champion best practices in data engineering, including data modeling, ETL/ELT pipeline development, and data governance within a cloud-native environment Key Responsibilities Architect and optimize Snowflake data warehouse solutions for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability Leverage Snowflake Cortex Analytics capabilities for advanced analytics, ML-powered insights, and LLM integration Define data modeling strategies and ensure consistency across the data platform Drive technical decision-making on tooling, frameworks, and architectural patterns Develop and optimize complex data pipelines and integrations using Python and REST APIs to enable seamless data flow across systems Design and deploy AI/ML solutions utilizing Microsoft Fabric or equivalent platforms to drive automation and predictive analytics Mentor and guide team members through code reviews, technical discussions, pair programming, and knowledge-sharing sessions Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical specifications, and deliver solutions aligned with enterprise strategy Establish and enforce coding standards, documentation practices, and development workflows to ensure consistency and maintainability Troubleshoot and resolve complex data issues, performance bottlenecks, and production incidents in a timely manner Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending and piloting new tools and approaches to improve team capabilities Participate in Daily/Weekly operational meetings and contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications Required: 12+ years of progressive experience in IT, data engineering, or related technical roles 5+ years of strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, including data modeling, performance tuning, and administration Proven expertise in Python development, including scripting, automation, and REST API integration Experience with Snowflake Cortex analytics or similar AI/ML capabilities within a data platform Proficiency in AI/data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Databricks, or comparable platforms Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence/reporting tools for data visualization and analytics Demonstrated leadership experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration and working effectively in team environments Preferred: Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) Knowledge of data governance, data quality frameworks, and metadata management Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (Git) Experience with dbt, Airflow, or other modern data orchestration tools Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field #L1-RG2 Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance .
