Tooling AI Engineer.
AMD · Gdansk, Poland
Job description
ADVANCE YOUR CAREER. ADVANCE THE WORLD. At AMD, we believe technology can change lives for the better. It can heal us, entertain us, and make us more connected, productive, and understanding of the world around us. And we’re looking for talent who feel the same: people who want to leave the planet better than they found it, those who don’t shy away from humanity’s challenges but are determined to help solve them. AMD is powering the next generation of supercomputing, high-performance computing, cloud, and AI. Whether you’re designing next-gen processors, enabling AI breakthroughs, or creating go-to-market plans, every role at AMD contributes to something bigger — technology that moves the world forward. Our Compute and Graphics team is putting agentic AI into the core of how its teams work, not bolting it on. You will sit inside a CG team, learn how they actually operate, and ship the tools and automations that change it. Build fast, watch people use it, fix what breaks, innovate. Working in a collaboration with the team, what you build gets shared, reused, and turned into patterns other engineers apply across CG. Success is simple to judge: someone does their job better because of what you shipped. What we are looking for You keep pace with AI because you use it, not because you read about it. You have a working sense of where it delivers and where it falls short. You can build the thing and get people to adopt it. A tool nobody trusts is wasted work, and you treat adoption as part of the job. You ask before you build. You want the real workflow and the real bottleneck, not the first request that lands on your desk. You respect the teams you support. You are not expected to be an expert in their field, but you pick up a workflow fast and know where it hurts. Requirements 6+ years of technical experience, including 1+ year building and shipping AI workflows Fluency with AI development tooling: agent frameworks, API integrations, Claude Code, Cursor, and cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS Strong in Python and SQL, plus at least one other common language A track record of AI tools, automations, or agentic systems that changed real work, not demos Evidence that people you enabled actually changed how they work Able to explain technical ideas to non-technical people Comfortable running several relationships and workstreams at once, across a range of AI skill levels Preferred qualifications Time spent inside an engineering, product, or design team Machine learning background: classification, clustering, forecasting, and similar Internal tools or playbooks that kept running after you moved on Consulting, solutions engineering, or other roles where you had to win trust fast and deliver early. #LI-CC5 #LI-Hybrid Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance .
