Responsibilities: Coordinate a european development team with a focus on filtration media, including both disciplinary and functional leadership responsibilities Define development priorities, objectives, and timelines in close alignment with the Director R&D, Director Sales, and customers Manage and oversee the project pipeline. Lead and execute development projects in the filtration sector as well as new business areas, from product concept through production and market launch Actively collaborate with internal and external customers Contribute to patent applications and patent monitoring in cooperation with the IP department Establish and maintain relationships with raw material suppliers, machinery manufacturers, service providers, research institutes, and universities Work closely with other functions such as Advanced Development, Production, Sales, New Business Development, Quality Management, HSE and Procurement Qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in Chemistry, Textile Technology, Engineering, or a related field Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the development of technical textiles or nonwoven product development, preferably within the filtration industry Proven project management experience and strong knowledge of related methodologies and tools (e.g., Stage-Gate processes, project management, Lean methodologies). Affinity for working with and analyzing technical data using AI-based tools and methods Strong teamwork skills and enthusiasm for working in cross-functional teams, combined with excellent communication abilities High degree of initiative, independence, and drive to shape and improve processes, supported by a systematic and analytical working style as well as a quick grasp of new concepts Willingness to travel approximately 20% Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken The Freudenberg Group is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion.
