The Work: The Senior SAP PTP & Ariba Consultant is responsible for leading the design, configuration, and delivery of end-to-end Procure to Pay processes within SAP S/4HANA, with specialized expertise in SAP Ariba for sourcing, procurement, and supplier management. This role serves as a functional lead on large-scale SAP procurement transformation programs, guiding clients through process harmonization, system design, and go-live readiness across the full PTP landscape. Responsibilities: PTP Process & Configuration Lead design and configuration of core PTP processes including Purchase Requisitions (PR), Purchase Orders (PO), Goods Receipt (GR), Invoice Verification (LIV/MIRO), and Payment runs Drive the design of procurement master data: vendor master, purchasing info records, source lists, and outline agreements Configure and optimize Materials Management (MM) procurement processes in S/4HANA including account determination, tolerance keys, and release strategies Lead three-way match design (PO / GR / Invoice) and exception handling workflows Configure Logistics Invoice Verification (LIV), evaluated receipt settlement (ERS), and consignment processing where in scope Support integration with FI/CO for GR/IR clearing. SAP Ariba Lead end-to-end implementation of SAP Ariba modules, including: Ariba Buying & Invoicing – catalog management, PO collaboration, invoice automation, Ariba Sourcing – RFx events, auction management, award scenarios, Ariba Contracts – contract workspace, compliance monitoring, contract-to-PO integration, Ariba Supplier Lifecycle & Performance (SLP) – supplier registration, qualification, and performance scorecards, Ariba Network – supplier enablement, e-invoicing, cXML/EDI transaction flows Design and configure the SAP S/4HANA–Ariba integration via SAP Integration Suite (CIG/middleware), including PO flip, order confirmation, and ASN flows Advise clients on Ariba Network supplier enablement strategy and onboarding wave planning Support migration from legacy procurement platforms (Coupa, Jaggaer, SAP SRM, manual processes) to SAP Ariba Program Delivery Lead PTP and Ariba workstreams through full SAP Activate lifecycle: Discover, Prepare, Explore, Realize, Deploy, Run Facilitate fit-to-standard workshops with Procurement, AP, and Finance stakeholders Author and maintain key design documents: BBPs, FSDs, configuration workbooks, integration specs, and test scripts Support data migration activities for vendor master, open POs, and outline agreements Lead SIT, UAT, and cutover planning for PTP and Ariba scope Coordinate with Basis/technical teams on Ariba tenant configuration, SSO setup, and middleware connectivity Client & Stakeholder Engagement Engage CPO, VP Procurement, and AP Controller stakeholders as a trusted procurement transformation advisor Translate complex SAP and Ariba configuration options into business-relevant design decisions Manage client sign-off on PTP design decisions and track open issues through resolution Advise on procurement operating model changes, policy alignment, and change management considerations Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 0 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements Here's what you need: Minimum of 12 years of SAP Procurement functional experience, including full lifecycle S/4HANA implementation experience Minimum of 8 years of deep expertise in SAP MM/PTP processes: PR/PO, GR/IR, LIV, AP integration, and payment runs Minimum of 8 years of hands-on configuration experience with one or more SAP Ariba modules (Buying & Invoicing, Sourcing, Contracts, SLP, or Network) Minimum of 8 years of experience with S/4HANA MM architecture and integration with FI/AP Prior experience working for a large Consulting/Advisory firm (Big 4, global SI, or boutique SAP consulting environment) Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (12 years) work experience (If an, Associate’s Degree with 6 years of work experience) Bonus Points if: You have experience with SAP Ariba Network supplier enablement and cXML transaction design You have exposure to SAP Integration Suite (CIG) or equivalent middleware for Ariba-S/4 integration You have familiarity with SAP SRM-to-Ariba migration scenarios You have experience with indirect procurement, catalog management, and spot-buy scenarios You have a SAP S/4HANA Sourcing & Procurement or Ariba certification Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
