Job Function: Sales Enablement Job Sub Function: Sales Training Job Category: People Leader All Job Posting Locations: West Chester, Pennsylvania, United States of America Job Description: DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Sr. Manager, Sales Leader Effectiveness, Trauma, Extremities, Foot & Ankle located in West Chester, PA. The Senior Manager, Sales Leader Effectiveness, Trauma, Extremities, Foot & Ankle will play a pivotal role within the Commercial Education and Strategic Skills organization. This role is responsible for leading, developing, and executing learning strategies that enhance sales leadership capabilities, strengthen field execution, support launch excellence, and improve commercial performance across the Trauma, Extremities, Foot & Ankle business. The individual will partner closely with Global Strategic Skills, Commercial Education, Franchise, Marketing, Sales Leadership, HR, Health Care Compliance, Legal, Regulatory, and external partners to identify capability gaps, adapt global curriculum for the US market, and deliver measurable learning solutions that improve business impact. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Lead the strategy, design, execution, and measurement of US sales leader effectiveness programs for the Trauma, Extremities, Foot & Ankle business. Partner with US Franchise, Commercial Education, Sales Leadership, Marketing, HR, and field teams to identify capability gaps and prioritize learning solutions that address business needs. Collaborate with Global Strategic Skills and Global Commercial Education teams to leverage existing curriculum, , and avoid duplicated efforts through clear governance and communication. Develop and implement continuous learning curriculum for sales leaders, field sales trainers, sales professionals, and commercial teams, with a focus on coaching, execution discipline, leadership capability, and learning transfer. Support Launch Excellence training for Trauma, Extremities, Foot & Ankle and sales teams in collaboration with Franchise Marketing, Commercial Education, and Education leadership. Manage internal and external partners supporting the delivery of sales leadership, commercial education, marketing, and field training programs. Identify, enable, and support internal trainers, field sales trainers, and subject matter experts to build scalable capability within Strategic Skills. Ensure programs apply adult learning principles and blended learning models, creating opportunities for practice, application, reinforcement, and measurable behavior change. Evaluate program effectiveness, monitor training impact, communicate outcomes to key stakeholders, and continuously improve curriculum based on field feedback and business priorities. Advance future leadership capability by supporting development pathways for new and existing sales managers across the organization. Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated experience leading or supporting sales teams, sales training, commercial education, leadership development, or technical learning initiatives. Strong coaching capability with experience improving individual and team performance across multiple roles and levels. Deep understanding of adult learning principles, blended learning design, facilitation methods, and learning transfer strategies. Excellent project and program management skills, including planning, execution, measurement, governance, and stakeholder communication. Ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed environment with R&D, Marketing, Operations, Sales, Commercial Education, Professional Education, HR, Health Care Compliance, Legal, Regulatory, and external partners. Strong understanding of the US healthcare environment, customer dynamics, commercial operating model, field sales structure, and compliance considerations relevant to MedTech education and sales leadership development. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships across US franchises, regions, and functional teams while communicating effectively with senior stakeholders. Experience leveraging technology-based learning solutions and digital tools to support scalable employee learning. Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint; experience with process excellence, Six Sigma, or process improvement is preferred. Self-starter with strong business acumen, analytical skills, leadership presence, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. QUALIFICATIONS Required: Bachelor’s Degree, MBA preferred. Minimum 8 years of sales leadership experience, with 5+ years in management, coaching, or mentoring, demonstrating a consistent track record of increasing responsibility, and developing strategic initiatives that enhance sales effectiveness and organizational performance. Job Location: This role can be based at a major US office, with alignment to business needs and proximity to key Commercial Education, Franchise, and Sales Leadership stakeholders. Travel Requirements: Travel up to 25% is required for stakeholder engagement, field immersion, program delivery, and execution across the US market.
