This position is based in Markham, Ontario, Canada. Purpose: The Professional Education Manager is responsible for developing and executing the professional education strategy for Johnson & Johnson Surgery Canada. This role partners with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, training institutions, and cross-functional stakeholders to advance procedural knowledge, support appropriate product utilization, and deliver high-quality educational experiences. The incumbent will design, implement, and evaluate innovative education programs that align with business priorities, healthcare needs, and regulatory requirements while fostering strong relationships across the Canadian surgical community. You will be responsible for: Professional Education StrategyDevelop and execute the professional education strategy for the Surgery business in Canada, aligning initiatives with organizational priorities and evolving healthcare needs. Identify educational opportunities and implement programs that enhance clinical knowledge, procedural excellence, and appropriate product use. Partner with global Professional Education teams to adapt and implement education strategies within the Canadian market. Program Development and ExecutionDesign, develop, and deliver educational programs and learning experiences through live, virtual, and self-directed formats. Conduct needs assessments to identify knowledge and skill gaps among healthcare professionals and develop targeted educational solutions. Evaluate program effectiveness through defined metrics, participant feedback, and performance outcomes to drive continuous improvement. Ensure all educational content is current, compliant, scientifically accurate, and aligned with business objectives. KOL and Healthcare Professional EngagementDevelop and maintain strategic relationships with Canadian Key Opinion Leaders, Training Excellence Centres, healthcare organizations, and professional societies. Collaborate with clinical stakeholders to inform educational strategies and enhance program relevance and impact. Serve as a trusted partner and subject matter resource for professional education initiatives. Operations, Compliance, and Vendor ManagementLead the planning and execution of professional education events, including faculty engagement, logistics, vendor management, and budget oversight. Manage relationships with external partners and service providers to ensure successful program delivery. In collaboration with Healthcare Compliance and Finance, oversee the review and approval of grant and fellowship requests. Ensure all activities comply with J&J policies, Healthcare Compliance requirements, and applicable regulatory standards. Leadership and InnovationDrive innovation in education delivery through the use of digital learning technologies and modern instructional methodologies. Provide leadership, coaching, and support to Professional Education team members in Canada. Prioritize and manage multiple projects and competing business needs while delivering measurable results. Qualifications:Required Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree required; science, healthcare, or business-related discipline preferred. Minimum 6 years of experience within the medical device, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or related industry. Experience in professional education, healthcare professional training, medical affairs, or related functions preferred. Prior people leadership experience required. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans with measurable outcomes. Strong leadership, project management, and organizational skills. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities. Strong business acumen and ability to collaborate across functions. Knowledge of the Canadian healthcare environment and medical education landscape. Excellent relationship-building, influence, and customer engagement skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Up to 30% travel may be required. The expected base pay range for this position is $94,000 to $162,150 CAD.
