Senior Field Applications Engineer (Senior FAE) – Industrial Location: Beijing We are looking for Senior Field Application Engineer who will deliver impactful, customer-facing application support for our North China Region. This position centers on engaging closing with our strategy industrial customers, facilitating product evaluation, system solution promoting, debugging, and technical relationship management. The individual in this role will serve as a crucial liaison between customers, sales team and Business Units, leveraging strong system knowledge to navigate complex technical discussions and resolve system challenges efficiently. Job Responsibilities Serve as the primary technical interface for NCRG industrial customers, supporting key accounts in North China Regions, including: industrial robotics, ATE (automated test equipment), industrial sensors, instrumentation, motion control, etc. Understand customer system architectures and application requirements, and provide system-level solutions based on analog signal chain, including: amplifiers, ADC/DAC, reference, power management, isolation, interface and related subsystems Work closely with Sales to drive design-in / design-win activities, influencing customer technology selection at early design stages and increasing ADI solution penetration Provide high-quality technical support, including:Schematic and PCB design review System-level debugging and root cause analysis On-site and remote troubleshooting Support throughout prototype to mass production stages Lead or participate in technical discussions, seminars, and customer trainings, effectively communicating ADI’s technology advantages and system value Collect customer requirements, market trends, and competitive intelligence, and collaborate with BU / Marketing to influence new product definition and system solutions Required Skills and Experience Master's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or related fields 3–5 years of experience in FAE, applications engineering, or hardware/system design; industrial application background is preferred Solid knowledge of analog circuits and signal chain, including (but not limited to):Precision amplifiers, ADC/DAC, references Sensor signal conditioning Power management and noise analysis Mixed-signal system design and debugging Strong system-level problem solving skills, able to analyze and resolve issues with incomplete information Hands-on experience with lab instruments such as oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, logic analyzer, etc.; PCB design/review experience is a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging deeply with customer engineering teams and collaborating cross-functionally Willing to travel, 10%-30% of working time. Good English reading, writing and speaking skills for technical communication Preferred Qualifications Experience in one or more of the following industries: industrial automation, robotics, ATE, sensors, instrumentation, motion control Experience in solution selling / system-level engagement, beyond component-level support Experience mentoring junior engineers or leading technical engagements For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
