This Position reports to: Category Specialist Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop, plan, and implement procurement strategy focused on optimizing costs, quality, delivery, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products for an assigned category or group of categories. Each day, you will ensure execution in accordance with company, procurement, and supply base management instructions and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by recommending frame agreements to management and executing upon approval. The work model for the role is: #LI_Onsite This role is contributing to the Motion Business for High Power division based at Vadodara, India: You will be mainly accountable for:Leveraging the Continuous Improvement Process Sourcing process for implementing effective sourcing strategies in line with business strategy and ensuring that the supply base/suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements. Handling products like Copper components, insulated copper conductors, insulation products, non ferrous products. Knowledge of extrusion, enameling, forging is mandatory. Conducting Contract Management to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies. Managing planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets, emerging country spending, and savings forecasts. Float the inquires to different suppliers, negotiate for quality, cost and deliveries and prepare the cost comparison. Negotiating agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renews price lists, and terms and conditions. Knowledge of the Benchmarking, Should Costing and TCO to effectively apply on the best fit for the purpose. Ensuring identification, assessment, and selection of appropriate suppliers (focusing on quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability) in accordance with company policies. Qualifications for the role 6 to 8 years of experience in Supply Chain management. Collaborate with cross functional team to ensure to meet the company requirement Full time B.E./B.Tech Electrical or Mechanical. Ensures integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities across all teams in scope. Managing the Sub-Contracting of the assemblies. Manages relationships with stakeholders in their own area of responsibility and ensures alignment.
