As an Associate I, Accounting & Reporting supporting our Global Finance Organization, you will be trusted to maintain accurate financial records, support accounting operations, and contribute to the preparation of financial reports. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards while supporting period-end close activities and financial analysis. In this role, a typical day will include: Calculating, posting, and verifying accounting transactions in accordance with company policies, internal controls, and accounting standards. Performing account reconciliations, investigating discrepancies, and supporting balance sheet and P&L reviews to ensure financial accuracy. Assisting with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including financial reporting and journal entry preparation. Preparing accounting schedules, management reports, and supporting documentation for internal and external reporting requirements. Collaborating with finance and business partners to improve processes, support audits, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, audit, shared services, or similar finance-related roles. Understanding of general accounting principles, financial statements, reconciliations, and month-end close processes. Experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. Demonstrated attention to detail, accountability, and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and grow within a global organization.
