Work Schedule Standard (Mon-Fri) Environmental Conditions Office Job Description Role SummaryWe are seeking a Staff Software Engineer with 10+ years of experience to provide technical leadership across multiple products and engineering initiatives. The ideal candidate will drive architecture, engineering excellence, platform modernization, and AI-enabled development practices while remaining hands-on in software design and implementation. This role requires deep expertise in Java-based distributed systems, cloud-native technologies, DevOps practices, and the ability to influence technical direction across multiple teams. ResponsibilitiesTechnical LeadershipDrive architecture and design decisions across multiple products and services. Define technical roadmaps aligned with business objectives. Evaluate trade-offs related to scalability, security, extensibility, performance, and cost. Lead architecture reviews and technical design discussions. Software DevelopmentDesign and develop highly scalable applications using Java and Spring Boot. Build and maintain microservices and REST APIs. Promote engineering best practices, code quality, and maintainability. Participate in critical implementation efforts when required. Cloud and Platform EngineeringDesign and operate cloud-native systems on AWS. Build containerized solutions using Docker and Kubernetes. Improve deployment automation and CI/CD pipelines. Drive platform reliability and operational excellence. Distributed Systems and IntegrationDesign event-driven systems using Kafka. Implement integrations between internal and external systems. Support high-throughput and highly available architectures. Industrial ConnectivityDevelop and maintain OPC UA-based industrial communication solutions. Design secure certificate-management approaches. Build extensible plugin and driver-management frameworks. AI-Driven EngineeringChampion AI-assisted development practices. Introduce automation for code review, defect remediation, dependency management, and engineering workflows. Establish standards for responsible and effective AI adoption. Improve developer productivity through AI-powered tooling. Engineering ExcellenceDefine coding standards and quality controls. Improve software quality using SonarQube, CodeQL, and automated checks. Drive secure development practices and governance. Mentorship and InfluenceMentor engineers and technical leads. Assist teams in technical planning and estimation. Resolve complex technical challenges and architectural issues. Influence engineering decisions across organizational boundaries. Customer and Production SupportLead root cause analysis for critical production issues. Drive long-term reliability improvements. Partner with stakeholders to ensure customer success and operational stability. QualificationsRequired10+ years of software engineering experience. Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and REST APIs. Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD. Strong understanding of distributed systems and Kafka. Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases. Proven architecture and technical leadership experience. Strong communication and mentoring skills. OPC UA experience. PreferredExperience implementing AI-assisted engineering workflows. Experience driving engineering standards across multiple teams.
