DESCRIPTION Join our collaborative team as a Field Applications Engineer at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where you'll provide expert technical support and innovative solutions to semiconductor customers. As a product application specialist, you'll serve as the technical expert for Thermo Fisher's advanced microscopy, helping customers integrate our technologies into their workflows and maximize system performance and productivity. In this customer-facing role, you'll develop and implement new applications and techniques, deliver comprehensive customer training, and collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Sales, Service, and Business Units across multiple countries—to drive product innovation and enhance the customer experience. As a trusted technical advisor and strategic partner, you'll work closely with customers to solve complex technical challenges, optimize automation recipe workflows, and accelerate the adoption of new technologies. Leveraging your application expertise, you'll influence product development by providing report as field feedback, validating new features, and supporting new product introductions, while building long-term customer relationships and delivering high-impact solutions in the fast-paced semiconductor industry. REQUIREMENTS Advanced degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, or a bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, in Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Strong hands-on experience on at least relevant analytical instruments (e.g., SEM, TEM, FIB, EELS, EFTEM, EDS) Programming skills like Python, C#, or MATLAB is a plus. Ability to develop and deliver technical presentations and training Proficiency in English Able to work independently while also being an effective team player. Clean room experiences preferred
