Work Schedule 12 hr shift/nights Environmental Conditions Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed, Cold Room/Freezers -22degreesF/-6degrees C, Fluctuating Temps hot/cold, Laboratory Setting, Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery), No contact lens allowed; prescriptive glasses will be provided, Rapid flashing lights, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Standing for full shift, Strong Odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products etc.), Various outside weather conditions, Warehouse, Will work with hazardous/toxic materials, Working at heights Job Description Work Schedule12-hour night shifts Rotating schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM 10% night shift differential Environmental ConditionsMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance. Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) safety standards. Cleanroom environment: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, or facial hair permitted. Work in cold rooms/freezers (-22°F / -6°C). Exposure to fluctuating hot and cold temperatures. Laboratory and warehouse settings. Loud machinery and equipment. Contact lenses are not permitted; prescription safety glasses will be provided if needed. Exposure to rapid flashing lights. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required, including safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coats, and ear protection. Standing for the entire shift. Exposure to strong odors (chemical, lubricant, and biological products). Various outdoor weather conditions. Work with hazardous and toxic materials. Work at heights as required. Location/Division InformationThe High Point, NC site is part of the Pharma Services Group (PSG) and specializes in gelatin-based drug delivery dosage forms (softgels). The facility offers development and commercial-scale manufacturing capabilities for a variety of softgel technologies. How Will You Make an Impact?The Medicine Operator II is responsible for operating an EKATO machine to produce products from pre-mixed ingredients while ensuring proper temperatures, machine settings, equipment setup, in-process measurements, and overall product quality. A Day in the LifeManufacture simple bulk products. Monitor Ekato operation and troubleshoot as needed. Collect product samples and perform in-process testing. Assist with room changeovers. Support cleanup activities and other Medicine duties as needed. Perform other related business duties as assigned. EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent required. Experience RequiredMinimum of one year of experience in manufacturing, operations, production, a laboratory environment, or a related field. Preferred Experience working in a current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) environment. Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interpret data, perform basic calculations, and troubleshoot equipment. Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a 24-hour, 7-day-per-week operation. Ability to meet DEA security clearance requirements, if applicable. Willingness to work overtime as needed. Physical RequirementsFrequently lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs.
