The Translational Research Account Manager is responsible for driving overall customer success aligned to the Cytiva strategy and goals, leveraging all the Cytiva account team. They own the overall customer relationship across the account and are the primary contact between the company and customers, they grow the business through an understanding of the market, an awareness and familiarity with the needs of customer, and knowledge of the product portfolio. This position is part of the Translational Research Sales team located in Australia & New Zealand and will work remotely to cover the assigned territory. The position will be expected to attend our local office from time to time (where applicable). What you will do: Represent Cytiva and function as a primary customer point of contact in all allocated Discovery and Genomic Medicine direct accounts within your assigned territory. Be accountable for overall account success, and growth, leveraging Cytiva customer account team. Prospecting, forecasting, generating proposals, preparing sales quotations, initiating, and planning customer visits at all levels of the customer organization. Identify opportunities and support the team in developing opportunities. Negotiate master agreements and contracts, including terms and conditions as well as facilitating tender responses to customers from the account, in conjunction with product sales specialists as needed. Expand the business, gain market share, and grow sales & orders at expected margins. Achieve annual/quarterly targets through successful promotion of all business technologies and capabilities within all modalities which are relevant to this account. Develop and maintain a full understanding of the Cytiva value proposition and a high-level knowledge of competitive products and services. Accountable to drive overall design-in account strategies, aligned with Sales Specialists on technical design-in projects. Provide technical support, leveraging technical specialists where needed, aligned with customer workflows and activities to develop, and support solutions that meet or exceed the customers’ expectations. Who you are: Technical capability baseline: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a Life Science subject, or comparable knowledge & capability gained through experience. Commercial capability: At least 3 years of experience in account management, sales, product management or strategic business development roles in the biotech market; with a proven track record of meeting & exceeding sales & order & funnel targets, winning new business and growing market share through a structured and strategic approach. Customer understanding: Must have a strong understanding of the Cytiva customer base across the Translational Research segment. Possesses the ability to quickly understand the customer’s complete process from a commercial perspective. Stakeholder management & networking: Track record of building relationships to persuade & influence customers at all levels, including C-suite. Reputation for positive and effective stakeholder management internally within an organization. Leadership: Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional, geographically disbursed teams – with or without direct management authority. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Commercial experience in the life sciences industry, including a current network of relevant contacts. Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: Able to travel for up to 20% of total time, including overnight stays when travelling interstate as part of your territory coverage.
