This position reports to: Production Engineering Manager __ Functional Area: Manufacturing Job Family: Process Engineering (Production engineering) Job: IPU Equipment Engineer (Production Development Specialist) Reporting Line: Process engineering manager Mission Statement: Optimize the Production organization’s assembly methods, processes and equipment to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs and safety. Main Accountabilities: 1. Working phases Defines the working phase sequence of a new production process to achieve the targeted product cost and equipment investment budget. Ensures appropriate production methods, cycle-time, equipment performance, and materials/components in support of production targets. 2. Improvement projects Identifies and recommend improvement opportunities and implements improvement projects, ensuring adherence to timeframe, quality and cost requirements. 3. Production process Ensures the production process complies with the project targets. Approves the design for processes developed internally or externally and performs final tests with respect to the project. 4. Production support Provides support to Production during the internal/external process/equipment start-up, defining action plans and training relevant maintenance and production resources. 5. Process technologies Evaluates new process technologies to improve productivity, quality and cost reduction, defining and leading testing activities, approval criteria and external provider choices. 6. New Production line building Responsible for designing and building new production lines and ensure the lines can be completed within required timeframe, deliver facilities and equipment that most meet of End User’s requirement or needs. Requirements 1.Bachelor’s degree or above, major in Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Automation. 2.Above 3 years working experience in Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Automation. 3.Proficient in PLC programming, with experience in Labview and vision applications. 4.Have good project management or team management skills. 5.Proficient in computer skills, such as AutoCAD, Pro-E, UG. 6.Proficient in problem-solving tools such as DOE, FMEA, MAS, etc. 7.Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma basics. 8.Good communication skills. 9.Fluent speaking and writing English. 10.Experience in Low Voltage products is a plus.
