Our Cranial & Spinal Technologies (CST) Operating Unit develops and delivers an integrated ecosystem of spinal implants, navigation and robotic guidance systems, advanced imaging, and data-driven planning tools for complex spine and cranial procedures. Platforms such as AiBLE™ connect these technologies to enhance surgical precision, streamline workflows, and support improved patient outcomes worldwide. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: Develops, reviews, and maintains requirements-based test cases for cloud-based software products, ensuring clear traceability to product requirements and expected system behavior. Uses AI-assisted tools to draft and refine BDD and Gherkin scenarios that support the development of manual and automated test coverage. Designs, implements, and executes manual and automated verification test cases for cloud platforms, software applications, and related interfaces, with emphasis on functional coverage and reliability. Creates and maintains test plans, protocols, execution records, and summary reports to document verification activities and results. Analyzes test data and defects to identify issues, support root cause investigation, and recommend corrective actions or improvements to test coverage and execution methods. Participates in requirements reviews, design reviews, risk assessments, and defect triage to ensure testability and effective verification planning. Provides technical guidance and mentoring to other test engineers on test case development, execution methods, automation practices, and verification best practices. Required Knowledge and Experience: Baccalaureate degree in Engineering or Computer Science (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A)) Minimum years of experience are dependent upon higher education: 4+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree; 2+ years of experience with a Master’s degree; 0+ years of experience with PhD Experience in developing Software in a Medical Device and Software as a Medical Device Experience in mentoring, developing peers, and/or direct reports Experience in influencing cross-functional teams Experience testing across a range of product types, which could include cloud services, physical hardware, embedded/firmware, or connected systems. Familiarity with modern test practices, which may include test automation frameworks, API testing, performance and load testing, security testing, CI/CD-integrated testing, and hardware in the loop, as applicable.
