Hematology Medical Lead Job Purpose The Hematology Medical lead within Medical Affairs will be responsible for providing expert scientific capability and leadership while managing a broad range of Medical Affairs activities associated with his or her assigned products and within the Hematology therapy area. Key Responsibilities: Work with the cross-functional teams, and above country teams providing scientific/clinical expertise, advice and technical leadership on GSK products at prelaunch or in market by developing and implementing a local, integrated medical strategy and customer engagement plans. Accountable for leading external scientific/clinical exchange with the scientific and medical community and to bring the medical voice of the customer back into the organization (includes 1:1 interaction, advisory boards, medical education, congress presentations, publications and congress sponsorships). Develop and implement local research strategies to address data gaps and advance the scientific/clinical understanding of GSK medicines. Build and leverage high quality scientific knowledge and capability expertise across the enterprise Collaborates with and engages internal and external stakeholders to create value Builds innovative, trusting partnerships with HCPs through the use of medical insights and key evidence generation. Lead, develop and implement a local Medical Strategic Plan for medicines within the Hematology therapy area including Provide scientific strategic input to the regulatory and reimbursement teams to allow GSK to demonstrate the value of GSK products to achieve optimal product labeling, reimbursement outcomes and patient access. Leverage medical and scientific knowledge to ensure that all materials produced are medically and scientifically accurate and in compliance with local and GSK requirements Contribute with scientific input for development of commercial plans, strategies and objectives in order to demonstrate value of GSK products. Lead Med Leads/advisors and or MSLs as appropriate, on the capabilities, capacity and performance dimension. Support the review of all medical grants and donation requests (including Independent Medical Education requests) to ensure alignment with therapy area strategies. Preparing, contributing and delivering medical and product training (diseases, new or existing products of GSK or competitors, etc.) to the commercial and relevant GSK teams. Responding to customer inquiries related with his/her products and/or therapeutic areas. Providing medical input for the planning and implementation phases of Clinical Trials and/or non-interventional studies. Reporting Adverse Events in compliance with local regulations and existing GSK procedures Supporting MedInfo Team for responding to literature search requests and if needed, for transferring the requests. Basic Qualifications Science, pharmacy, or medical degree. Post graduate science degree in related field preferred. 12 and/or more years experience in driving and managing the medical strategy at pharmaceutical industry (3 and/or more years experience in hematology therapeutic area prefered) Good command of written and spoken English Absolute commitment to the highest ethical standards and accountability for individual actions Self-starter, proactive, patient-centric approach with vision to shape role Proven leadership skills Demonstrated ability to work as a strategic partner with commercial functions would be considered an asset Must possess a good understanding of healthcare environment Strong ability to develop timely and meaningful research protocols and study reports Proficiency in MS Office Applications Excellent presentation and teaching skills and to represent GSK in a professional manner at medical, scientific and public events *LI-GSK Skills Cross-Functional Leadership, Digital Fluency, Enterprise Thinking, High Impact Communication, Launch Excellence, Patient Impact Why GSK?
