The Vice President, Quality & Regulatory Enterprise Improvement will support establishing, leading and maintaining enterprise-wide initiatives to strengthen Danaher’s Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs (QARA) capabilities and performance across its three platforms. This role is responsible for driving continuous improvement, harmonization of standards, and operational excellence in QARA systems and processes. This position will establish, strategize, direct, and lead the day-to-day coordination of an enterprise QARA Working Group. It will also involve close partnership with senior leadership, operating companies, and external experts to enhance quality systems, regulatory compliance, and risk management. In addition, the role will maintain an independent reporting line to the VP and Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer to design and execute a third-party Quality Assurance audit program, ensuring objective assessment and continuous strengthening of the company’s compliance posture. This position report to the VP and Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer and will be fully remote. In this role you will have the opportunity to: Support driving and executing an enterprise-wide QARA improvement strategy aligned with Danaher Business System (DBS) principles. Champion the adoption of leading quality and regulatory practices across all platforms and operating companies, fostering consistent excellence and ensuring compliance while accommodating unique platform requirements. Identify systemic risks and improvement opportunities to elevate global QARA performance Support establishing and leading an enterprise QARA Working Group consisting of senior QARA leaders across platforms. Facilitate cross-platform collaboration to share best practices, drive standardization, and accelerate continuous improvement. Develop governance structures, operating cadence, and performance metrics for the Working Group Embed DBS tools, AI, automation and methodologies into QARA processes to drive measurable improvements. Sponsor kaizen events and other improvement initiatives focused on quality systems, regulatory processes, and compliance outcomes. Track and report progress against enterprise QARA performance metrics In coordination with the Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer, design and oversee an enterprise-wide QA audit program utilizing expert third-party auditors. Ensure audits are rigorous, independent, and focused on identifying systemic risks and improvement opportunities. Synthesize findings into actionable recommendations and oversee remediation efforts across platforms Strengthen enterprise-wide visibility into quality and regulatory risks. Partner with Legal, Compliance, and platform leadership to proactively mitigate risks. Ensure alignment with global regulatory requirements and evolving industry expectations Serve as a trusted advisor to platform presidents, QARA leaders, and executive leadership. Interface with external experts, regulatory authorities (as needed), and audit partners. Communicate enterprise QARA performance, risks, and improvement initiatives to senior leadership The essential requirements of the job include: Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or engineering discipline; advanced degree preferred ~15+ years of relevant industry experience, including substantial global leadership experience in Quality Assurance and/or Regulatory Affairs within life sciences, diagnostics, or highly regulated industries Proven track record of driving enterprise-wide transformation and continuous improvement initiatives Deep knowledge of global regulatory frameworks and quality systems Experience leading cross-functional, multi-business governance structures Strong executive presence with the ability to influence at the most senior levels Experience working in global, multicultural environments Experience working with legal/compliance functions and external auditors is highly preferred Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: 10-25% travel for meetings and conferences Danaher offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives. The salary range for this role is TBD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
