This Position reports to: Application Engineering Manager - Industries Robotics As a Welding Applications Engineer you'll be partnering with our sales teams in the East (Mid-Atlantic, Northeast and Southeast) you will work on supporting our weld related products, and work on proof-of-concepts, cycle time evaluations, reach studies, and configure robotic solutions for welding applications. The work model for this role is: Remote-home office and have up to 35% of travel in the region listed. Ideal candidate would be based in the Philadelphia market but near a major metro airport is feasible in another state. Core Responsibilities Work with sales to review customer requirements, propose and design robotic solutions. Showcase proof of concept and other demonstrations and presentations to customers. Ensure all solutions comply with customer specs and any code requirements. Collaborate with customers, internal teams and potentially third party to address any issues, handle any changes in proposal or other documentation and alignment on requirements. Requirements Bachelor’s in engineering or engineering technology with 5 years in Robotic Welding or Associates and 8 years Offline programming such as Robot Studio or similar Comfortable presenting and interacting with all levels of customers as well as peer teams (sales, project management, etc.) Ability to read welding drawings, understand welding industry codes and knowledge of welding processes (laser, plasma, etc.) desirable.
