This position reports to: Senior Engineering Manager __ Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to be a design authority for an engineering discipline. Each day, you will complete assignments on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring assignments are completed in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards. The work model for the role is: #LI-hybrid. This role is contributing to the Automation Process Industries division in Zagreb, Croatia. You will be mainly accountable for: Handling specific engineering tasks in industrial electrification and automation projects, mainly in metals industry. Working closely with the customer to shape and deliver solutions that fit to project requirements. Initiating improvements based on customer's feedback. Creating work plans and cost estimates in coordination with project managers, for specific projects and ensuring quality, timely implementation within the budget. Distribution of specific engineering tasks within the project team, monitoring the progress of execution, detecting critical points and alerting in time. Coordinating with relevant functions (e.g. project manager, quality manager...) to ensure the designs are appropriately manufactured / staged, tested, installed, and commissioned. Coaching engineering colleagues on engineering solutions, best practices, and lessons learned from past projects. Taking project ownership, being proactive, finding solutions and ensuring project progress. You will join a dynamic, talented, high performing, multidisciplinary team, where you will be able to thrive. Qualifications for the role You are highly skilled in industrial automation (PLC programming and similar) or electrical drives (frequency converters), you enjoy working with new technologies. You hold a degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics / Electronics / Automation or similar. You have at least 5 years of experience in industrial automation and electrification projects engineering and commissioning. Understanding of how to read electrical schematics Possess an enhanced knowledge of electrical engineering and industrial networking. You are passionate about innovation, new technologies, improvements. You are open to share the knowledge and like to brainstorm new ideas. You are at ease communicating in English language (spoken and written) You hold current driving license category B. Experience in metals industry (rolling mills, processing lines, casting lines) and knowledge of electrical design (autocad, eplan) would be considered plus. What's in it for you?
