The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As a Production Planner, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Create production and procurement schedules for area of responsibility Identifying and leading cross functional projects across the business to effectively drive improvements in service, cost, and inventory Utilizing Supply Chain tools and processes to make data-driven decisions to improve service, inventory turns, and non-working inventory Provides a high degree of planning analysis to support decision making Publishes and presents service and inventory metrics and results Analyzes capacity to determine equipment loading and resources required Works closely with the business unit to understand customer requirements and forecasts. Works closely with manufacturing to ensure alignment to business requirements by setting and maintaining target inventory levels and lead times Actively manage working and non-working inventories in assigned businesses to maintain compliance and achieve inventory investment target Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) One (1) combined year of experience working with Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering and/or SAP in a private, public or government environment Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Operations and/or Business Two (2) or more years of experience in Supply Chain within a manufacturing plant 3M systems experience (Peoplesoft, ERP / SAP) & BT knowledge History of successfully applying business knowledge to support business needs and goals Initiates, leads, and implements the process of supply chain problem identification and resolution Advanced Microsoft Suite skills Excellent written & oral communication skills, presentation skills, and interpersonal skills including the ability to influence others and work effectively in a team environment Business Transformation or SAP experience Strong desire to advance in the Supply Chain field Work location: On-site, London Canada Travel: May include up to 5% domestic/international Relocation Assistance: Not authorized The expected compensation range for this position is $81,896 - $100,096, which includes base pay and variable incentive pay, if eligible.
