Job Title Software Development Engineering - Sr Professional I About your role: You will design, develop, and maintain software applications that support business and client needs. You will work with product, engineering, and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions. Your work will help improve application performance, reliability, security, and long-term maintainability across the software development lifecycle. What you'll do: Develop and implement software applications that support business objectives and client requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solution designs. Build, test, debug, and deploy backend and frontend components to improve application performance, reliability, and usability. Maintain and enhance existing codebases through code reviews, refactoring, and technical improvements. Troubleshoot production issues and support application stability, incident resolution, and root cause analysis. Reduce technical debt, remediate application vulnerabilities, and apply secure software development practices. Provide technical guidance to less experienced developers through peer collaboration and code review. Responsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive and may be modified as necessary. Experience you'll need to have: 4+ years of experience in software development across architectural patterns such as microservices, monolithic applications, and event-driven systems. 3+ years of experience developing applications with Java and object-oriented programming using Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Representational State Transfer (REST) application programming interfaces (APIs), Swagger, JUnit, JSON Web Token (JWT), Spring Security, OAuth 2.0, and caching frameworks. 3+ years of experience in frontend development using React, Next.js, Angular, or similar frameworks to build responsive single-page or multi-page applications. 2+ years of experience with cloud platforms such as Tanzu, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Microsoft Azure, including containerization with Docker or Kubernetes and continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices. 2+ years of experience developing microservices using service discovery, API gateways, Feign Client, RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka, load balancing, logging, tracing, circuit breakers, service registries, and configuration servers. 3+ years of experience with database technologies such as Oracle or MongoDB, including Structured Query Language (SQL), database design, indexes, views, stored procedures, and triggers. 1+ years of Fiserv systems experience. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience. Experience that would be great to have: Experience designing secure, scalable, and maintainable software with authentication, authorization, and sensitive data protection controls. Experience with Agile delivery methods, secure code development, code scanning, and vulnerability remediation. Experience in financial services technology environments. Experience using wireframing or collaboration tools such as Figma. How you'll work: This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity. This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment. Sponsorship: You must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization to be considered for this role. Salary Range $90,000.00 - $144,000.00 These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
