We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic technical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining laboratory platforms, managing inventory, performing board-level testing and debugging, and ensuring the highest standards of quality across all testing and validation processes. This role requires a hands-on professional with strong analytical skills and a commitment to technical excellence. Key Responsibilities Platform Development and Build Design, assemble, and configure laboratory test platforms in accordance with project specifications and technical requirements Set up and maintain laboratory workstations, equipment, and testing environments Collaborate with engineering teams to support the development and continuous improvement of platform infrastructure Document platform configurations, procedures, and technical specifications Inventory Management Monitor, track, and manage laboratory inventory including components, tools, equipment, and consumables Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records using designated tracking systems Coordinate procurement requests to ensure timely availability of required materials Conduct periodic inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies as needed Properly label, store, and organize all laboratory assets following established protocols Board Functionality - Testing and Debugging Perform functional testing of electronic boards and hardware assemblies at various stages of development Identify, analyze, and debug hardware and software issues at the board level Execute systematic troubleshooting procedures to isolate root causes of failures Collaborate with design and development engineers to report findings and implement corrective actions Validate board performance against defined technical specifications and acceptance criteria Quality Assurance and Test Planning Ensure the delivery of high-quality, accurate, and reproducible test results Develop, review, and maintain comprehensive test plans aligned with project requirements Ensure adequate functional coverage across all test scenarios and use cases Identify gaps in test coverage and propose improvements to testing methodologies Maintain detailed records of test results, observations, and non-conformances Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes Documentation and Reporting Prepare clear and concise technical reports summarizing test outcomes, defects, and resolutions Maintain organized and accurate laboratory logbooks and records Contribute to the creation and updating of standard operating procedures. Communicate findings and progress updates effectively to teams. Interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and cross-functional teams' members, including architects and designers Good written and verbal communication skills for accurate lab documentation, test reporting, and team communication Work Environment Laboratory-based role with hands-on work involving electronic components and equipment Adherence to all laboratory safety protocols and procedures is mandatory Qualifications:Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research. Minimum Qualifications: Possess or be pursuing an Associate's degree or Technical Certificate in Electrical Technology, Electronics or a related technical field +1 year of experience in the following areas:Circuit design and troubleshooting. Electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.) Wiring and cabling systems. Computer hardware and systems. Windows and Linux operating systems administration and troubleshooting. Software installation, configuration, maintenance, and debugging. General computer system support, including diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues. Technical documentation and schematics reading. Safety and compliance standards. Advanced English level. Must have unrestricted, permanent right to work in Mexico (this role is not eligible for visa or immigration sponsorship). Preferred Qualifications: This team is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of Intel's CPU designs through hands-on laboratory testing and validation, in a dynamic cross-team environment. The Lab Technician will work closely with engineers to support hardware bring-up, testing, and debugging activities. Essential soft skills for candidates include: Networking fundamentals. Experience with automated testing frameworks or scripting languages (Python, Visual Code, etc.) Knowledge of quality management systems. Familiarity with version control tools (Git) and bug tracking systems Experience working in an Agile or structured development environment.
