Medtronic is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sr. Software Tools Engineer to join our Cardiac Ablation Solutions Software team. In this role, you will play a critical part in enhancing and streamlining our software development, testing, and quality assurance processes. You will develop a variety of tools, scripts, and dashboards to support the team’s workflows, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and quality throughout the product development lifecycle. The Sr. Software Tools Engineer will be an integral member in the Cardiac Ablation Software Team, working on cutting-edge technology in the electrophysiology field. The ideal candidate has experience using innovation to drive process improvements. They will take ownership of key features while working collaboratively with other engineering teams and are passionate about working on a product that will have a positive impact on the lives of millions. Primary Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain custom tools and scripts to support software development, testing, deployment, and maintenance processes. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, quality assurance, and technical leaders, to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions. Identify opportunities to improve existing tools and processes, driving innovation and efficiency across the team. Generate automated reports and test protocols that provide actionable insights into software performance and quality. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience OR PhD with 0 years relevant experience Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of Medical device software development, IEC-62304 and FDA guidance in a technical discipline, preferably software related Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. Experience working with tools like JIRA, Gitlab, Artifactory, and AWS, including API integration and automation. Proficient in programming languages such as Flutter/Dart, Python, C++/C# or similar languages Strong understanding of good documentation practices Experience with software version control systems, such as Git Experience with Docker and Linux Experience with Agile development Strong work ethic and entrepreneurial drive Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$124,800.00 - $187,200.00 This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
