Job description

At Red Hat, we believe that open source technology can change the world. Our Professional Services team is the bridge between our innovative products and our customers' biggest challenges. We partner with organizations to build solutions that help them work smarter, faster, and more effectively. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Cloud Architect to join our team. In this role, you will be a trusted advisor and a hands-on guide for our customers. You'll work directly with them to design and build modern, scalable cloud platforms using the Red Hat portfolio, with a strong focus on Red Hat OpenShift. This is a role for someone who loves to solve complex puzzles, share their knowledge, and see their work make a real-world impact. If you have hands-on devops architecture & design experience and are prepared to work from customer site we'd love to hear from you! What you will do: Be the Expert: Serve as the go-to technical leader for customers, guiding them on their journey to the hybrid cloud and application modernization. Listen and Design: Partner with customers to understand their unique business goals and technical requirements. You'll then design robust, secure, and scalable solutions on Red Hat OpenShift that meet those needs. Build and Implement: Roll up your sleeves and lead the hands-on implementation of the solutions you design. You’ll be building everything from proof-of-concepts to full production environments. Teach and Enable: Lead workshops and share best practices with customer teams, mentoring them on topics like containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and microservices. Your goal is to make them successful long after our engagement ends. Collaborate and Connect: Work closely with Red Hat’s sales, engineering, and support teams to ensure a seamless and positive customer experience. What you will bring: A Passion for Customers: You have proven experience in a customer-facing role, like a consultant, solutions architect, or senior engineer, and you are driven by their success. Deep Technical Skills: You have strong, hands-on experience with container technologies like Kubernetes and Docker, and you are ideally very familiar with Red Hat OpenShift. A Solid Foundation: You are comfortable with Linux or alternative core technologies and have a good understanding of core IT infrastructure concepts like networking, storage, and security. The DevOps Mindset: You understand modern software development and delivery, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code. Experience with Red Hat products is a major plus. Excellent Communication: You can explain complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical people. You are a great listener, a clear presenter, and enjoy leading technical discussions. Curiosity and a Love for Learning: The world of technology is always changing, and you are excited by the opportunity to learn new things and continuously improve your skills. #LI-AM4 About Red Hat Red Hat is the world’s leading provider of enterprise open source software solutions, using a community-powered approach to deliver high-performing Linux, cloud, container, and Kubernetes technologies.
